Hey guys...probably a dumb question, but it's one I don't the answer to. When you search for servers after you log into a game whether bf2 or 2142 and you see the column showing the server latency...is that what you are actually pinging at or is it what the server is pinging at? I'm an idiot when it come to that stuff...thanks!!

I'll take a stab at this since no one else has so far.
The ping in your games server list shows the ping (latency in milliseconds) between your PC (the game client) and the Host PC (the game server). That is why different people have different pings. What is displayed is specific to your connection to the server, which is dependent upon your inernet connection, service provider, their connection to the internet backbone, etc.
I think there were posts in teh Tech Support section that discussed how to Ping a specific server IP in windows and another that will let you do a Trace Route test to a specific IP. The Ping test will show your latency and the Trace route will show how many hops, times the connection is handed off, between you and the server.
I sure hope if I have this wrong oone of our tech heads will post up the correct info.
