I've noticed that for some people its really hard to hit a tank or APC with a tv missile. In fact its not all that hard.
The cursor on the tv missile screen acts like a laser designator. You click and the missile goes to what you clicked on anywhere on the 'tv' screen. So you can actually turn the missile to hit the target.
Now here's where it gets tricky. Try firing the missile then readjust the missile path by clickin on something else in your tv screen. This will designate the missile to your new target. This is very effective on moving targets. It also helps when the pilot has the helicopter turned wrong and you can't see the target. This missile path readjustment doesn't really work at short range but it really helps at the long range shots.
Another thing to keep in mind when shooting moving targets is to 'lead' the target by clicking in front of the vehicles path a little bit.
