Hey guys...I have been using several programs to backup dvds. However, there are certain dvds that I am having problems with such as "Da Vinci Code", "Pirates of the Caribbean-Dead Man's Chest", etc. I use Dvd shrink, dvd decrypter, clone dvd, and any dvd with nero to burn the movie. Anything else out there that someone could recommend? Thanks!!

Try this http://www.videohelp.com/tools?tool=DVDFab_Decrypter

If you read some of the comments you will see if it works with your movie or not. Also this is updated on a regular basis to get by some of the latest encryptions.

I've heard that this works really well. The free version looks very basic but I've heard the pro version is good. :)

See if you can find DVD XCopy somewhere (Platinumn, Gold, or Xpress they all work the same way ) one click copy.. that it.. Platinum even works for dual-layer burning. i will look around and see if i still have the .exe since reformatting 500 times i may have lost it :(

Thanks for all the info...I did get them backed up. After playing around a bit, I used dvd decrypter and then dvd clone...just messed with my settings a bit and did some reading and got 'er working. I am still gonna try all the suggestions to find out which one works best for me...thanks again...

These are a few sites that I frequent for information to replicate DVD's that I legally purchased. (end disclaimer)

No particular order of preference dvd-guides probably the easiest guides. CD-Freaks has the most software downloads. I like doom9 for the forums. If you have a question it will be answered within a day and without any flameage.

oh yeah one more.
