I really liked FEAR. It was an good game and was the type of game that made your arm hairs stand up do to the story line . I would give it an 8.5 overall.

I've never played it before - looks like fun though!

I just picked up the Call of Duty war chest (contains COD 1, United Offensive and COD 2) for old times sake...had a lot of fun with those.

I have played but haven't finished it. The AI are incredible. They retreat, call for backup, will use cover and will try to out flank you. Playing late at night in a dark room with headphones on made me jump on more than one occasion. It's a good shooter with a good story. Never played online.

I heard about this today. I am in the process of downloading the MP. It says its is free. My favorite price. Its a 1.7 gig download so I will let ya'll know.

I don't think FEAR mulitplayer would ever be as popular as what BF2, RainbowSix, or Joint Ops was in multiplayer modes but it is a very cool and different game. I found a COOP Multiplayer Mod that allows any user playing with the full retail version or with the free FEAR Combat version to play in COOP mode. Although only retail version players can play on the single player maps. For more info check out this link:

There are adversarial modes like Death Match, Team Death Match, Capture, Control, and maybe a few others. I am patching to the latest version v1.08 and will try to hook up obver Hamachi with anyone intersted in connecting.

F.E.A.R. Combat rocks. And in honor of The Clash I will never write the words “combat” and “rock” together again. The rich environments are present and they are simply massive, offering online FPS fans something for everyone. Are you a camper who wants to sit on a roof or other elevated position and snipes? You can do it. Do you prefer to blow stuff up real good with rocket launchers and grenades? You’re covered. You can even run ‘n gun with dual pistols, John Woo style, baby.


...offers all the modes you’d expect (deathmatch, capture the flag, team deathmatch, Team and normal elimination (think Last Man Standing) and a couple of variations of a Battlefield style control point capturing game called Conquer All and, imaginatively, Control) and a couple of surprisingly fun new slow-mo variants on deathmatch and capture the flag.

**Edit: This could be a real fun diviersion. The server setting lt you customize the game enough to make it more fun. Things like friendly fire on, team kill penalty on respawn, varying respawn times, varying time dealy on capturing control points (flags). Plus the maps are very cool. If the COOP play is just as fun as the Adversarial multiplayer this could be a great Free game for those that don't already own the retail box version. **
