Vegas MP Question

I'm waiting on a "Newegg" delivery before I can play R6 Vegas, but I have a question for the guys who have it.

In the manual under "Cooperative" modes it has "Coop Story" mode and "Coop Terrorist Hunt" mode. In Coop Story it says "you and a team of up to 3 others" can play, but in Coop Terrorist Hunt, it says "you and a team of players".

From the way that is worded, it looks like the Terrorist Hunt coop can allow more than 4 players. Is that true?

If so, that would be great!

This is what happened in Ghost Recon AW, in a patch they added Terrorist Hunt that is not limited to 4 players.

I'll answer my own question...4 is the limit. Great job UBI, how hard can it be to have more players in a non-scripted "shoot the bad guys" game format.

I've only played the game for a little while, and my first impression is I hate it. It looks almost exactly like Ghost Recon AW, which I was disappointed with as well.

It has the same "sloppy" feel to its player movements, and the same soft, sort of "sepia" haziness. Then there is the awful blur effect when shooting and being shot at. You can turn it off but it doesn't seem to matter...it still happens!

I'll give it some more time before I give it the official thumbs down, but after upgrading my video card and mobo, I figured it would be a lot better than what I've seen so far.

give it a while, you'll find it grows on you. The fuzzyness is only really noticable on the first map. I think they were going for the 'dusty border town' look. As for the blurring, at least it gives you a feel of actually being injured (specially when you turn around and your blood is all over the wall). My first reaction was the same as yours psycho, but now I love the game. We have been playing multiplayer the last couple of nights......it rocks and is really tough to complete...........much harder than lockdown. My favorite weapon so far is the M8 assault rifle but we had a guy playing with us tonight who did really well with a shotgun in the 'Library' map. Four of us and 50 AI man it was hard.we never managed to complete the map, bu that was because my 'puter crashed.

Maybe P1 could give his opinion too?

Hey Brit I tried to jump down and play with you guys but when I did you were gone. I probably wasn't in your league anyway. I have been trying the single player and have been getting my ass kicked bad. I can't seem to get past the first few IA's before I get put in the box! (Casket or Body Bag) LOL!

Update: I have played it a bit more and it is kind of cool. I still can't stand the blur effect every time you take a hit. Why would you blur the action when the shooting starts? That's the whole reason we play these games. (not to mention spend big bucks on our rigs to get the best graphics).

There are some neat toys you get like the snake cam. Oh and I'm tired of being called "Poota" by the bad guys, whatever that means! I hope it's not what I think!@!!

Well, at least I finally found that with a little help from my teammates I can get a ways through RB6 Vegas. Other than the limitation on the number of people allowed on a multiplayer team, which really sucks, I found the game to be pretty damn good. I don't like the language used throughout the game as it definitely limits the game to a headset and can't be played with open speakers with young children around. The IA's are pretty fast and they are not waiting for you to make up your mind if you want to shoot or not because if you do your dead, no if's and's or but's! All in all it's still a lot of fun and a good game but knowing UBI it could have been a hell of a lot better with just a little more effort. I will still stick with the old Ghost Recon as being the best I have ever played with unlimited multi players, fair graphics, not to dumb AI's, ability to make maps amd firearms and other equipment was totally outstanding. Tombstone if you are thinking about buying it, I would recommend it. RB6 Vegas that is. OH, yes I would recommend the old Ghost Recon also, lol!
