Hey Guys: Gonna be gone for a few days. Heading for Biloxi, MS in the AM and will return sometime Friday hopefully with a bunch of their money but not counting on it. Take care and enjoy yourselves. Haven't been on due to unexpected company from PA. Take care all!

Enjoy yourself Goat...I'll think about ya while I'm off to Calgary for 3 days and then Cold Lake for 2...I get to see my career manager in Cold Lake and he gets to tell me on Monday where I'll be posted this summer! I may have to change my nickname to reflect my new location...lol. I'm not sure which one will sound best though.

Well, my trip to Calgary was ok...nothing exciting...just visiting in-laws. I seen my career manager, and the "unofficial" word is I'm heading to Kingston, Ontario this summer. I'll wait for a message...lol...

Sask, why did you not advise me you were coming to Calgary, maybe we could have went for a beer or something. Plus an hour or so away from the inlaws priceless. LOL Hedge is here as well. If you ever get out here again let me know.

Hey Coolio...you know, i actually thought about that. We were late leaving on Thursday so it was late that evening when we got there. Since it was the first time in over a year that I visited, I figured I'd better play the hubby role. I'm sure I'll be back there a couple of times before this summer...I'll make sure to look you up. BTW, it was actually Airdrie that I stayed...

I can understand Sask, "Happy Wife is a Happy life" just keep it in mind for the next trip. I think it would be good just to have a beer and there are a few places in Airdire to grab a beer. I am sure Hedge would enjoy that too. We both live in the north of the city and only a 15 min drive to Airdrie. There is also a Tim's there if you want a coffee instead.

That's a "Tim Horton's" for all of us Southerners (Americans). From what I hear, Canadians really like the place because no matter what you order they give you a donut with ever combo! And we thought you guys had it rough up there.
P.S. Because Tim Horton was a great hockey player before he opened his chain of eateries, I think that every year during the Stanley Cup Finals, they should give people a BC two-hander instead of the donut. What do you guys think? :)

That's why I'm so fat! That reminds me...back in '98 when i was in the infantry, we did an exercise out of Norfolk with the marines. We actually sailed up on the USS Nassau and attacked my home province of Newfoundland. Anyway, we had quite the hump to do and it was actually pretty hot that day for Newfoundland (around 35 celcius). We kind of played a joke on the marines telling them how cold it was up there, so they all wore their poly underwear and bundled up! During the long hike with all of our kit, quite a few marines were falling out because of the heat and i cleary remember some marine Sgt yelling at them...his exact words were, "You guys are a disgrace! These fat Canadians are making you look bad!!" I thought it was funny...some asked if we had igloos there and we obliged and said yes. Sorry if anyone here was part of that exercise! lol
