I've heard several people talking about problems in game and read of others on the forums (causing them not to join TeamSpeak and game with us). To all those having problems try these suggestions (in this order!):

1) I've read in the TS support forums about a lot of problems with lag in games with VOIP (BF2, CS:S, etc.). Turning OFF VOIP in the game options seemed to fix a lot of the problems some people were having with TeamSpeak. Many of the users posting problems said that they could play BF2 fine, but when they loaded TeamSpeak and played BF2, they lagged like crazy. I haven't used VOIP since the game came out and have it turned off so I'm not sure if this will help those of you using VOIP. This seems to be the #1 fix for most in-game problems while connected to TS.

2) When you have BF2 and TS loaded and running on your computer, Alt-Tab out, then pull up the Task Manager. Click "Processes", highlight teamspeak.exe, right click on it and look at the priority of it. Set it to "High". Return to desktop and try it out. This fixed a lot of lag/choppy voices in TS problems that some users were posting about.

3) In the TeamSpeak "Options" tab, try switching from direct sound to wave sound (or vice versa). This seemed to fix some voice issues for some users of TS as well.

4) Make sure that you are using the latest release version of TeamSpeak : http://www.goteamspeak.com/index.php?page=downloads - You will want the client version. If you are not running the latest version of TeamSpeak, you will want to uninstall it and install the latest version. When you uninstall, some files do not get deleted during the automatic uninstall option. You will need to follow this step to make sure all the files are gone : C:/ProgramFiles - find the TeamSpeak folder and delete it after you uninstall it. Then do a clean install.

5) Make sure your computer specs are at least 1 gig of RAM and at least a 2.4 processor. If lower, TS may not run at optimum settings.

6) Apparently there are issues with wireless routers. These "issues" may be fixed with the next TeamSpeak release.

To all of those having problems playing games and being connected to TeamSpeak at the same time....try these in the order I posted them. If anything works for you, please reply to this topic so that others can see what you have done and what works for you. MOST of the issues I read about regarding TS and in-game lag dealt with turning off the VOIP option in BF2 or CounterStrike.

Thanks for the info Balti, I am not sure why it only started doing it since OSG switched to TS. I can run BF2, and all my other games, as well as Vent on other servers and no issues. It only seems to be the OSG TS that I have this issue with.

Not sure what else to do. Guess I will have to ignore the choppy conversations, in TS. It could be the ping since I am further away from the server, then most.

Oh well I will have to live with.
