Welcome to OSG Racing Series everyone !!! We here at Old School Gamers are very excited to bring each and everyone of you racers a top notch racing series. A lot of work and time has went into this. So please, everyone enjoy and have fun most of all. A special thanks goes out to the following members of OSG: Tombstone, PiLL-Doc, Dannie D, DJKJ737, and Parasite.
First off, this league does not require any dues to be paid in the 1st season, but that is subject to change in the future seasons. However, donations are welcomed through our paypal link on the website .
Second, there will be five races this season .
Third, the dedicated server will be set to the track that is being raced that week for ample testing opportunities.
Fourth, a private testing server can also be put up if any league member would like .
Fifth, once the race starts there will not be a restart unless deemed needed.
Sixth, Attention to all lapped cars: Please, if lead lap cars approach, move to the high side of the track . A blue block will appear on your screen notifing you of this.
Seventh, All cars that finish a race, damaged or not, will receive a 10 point bonus for finishing the race.
Eighth, all races will be held on Monday nights at 9:00 PM EST, and practice will start at 8:00 PM EST.
Ninth, The password for all league races will be given out on TeamSpeak .
Tenth, please check the forums for any updates or patches for the server .
Eleventh, all races will be ran 30% of normal race length.
Twelth, have fun and enjoy racing with everyone, and if interested in becoming an OSG member, please let one of us know and we will explain all the benefits of being a member of OSG.
Thirteenth, Season 2 will bring team racing to OSG and the following will lay out how this will transpire .
a) we will divide the total number of racers in series by 3 . 18 racers = 6
b) the number we receive will be the number of team owners we have
c) the team owners will have a closed pick session of the drivers in the poll of drivers to form 3 car teams.
d)1st place driver will pick last and the 6th place driver would pick 1st
e)Then each team owner will pick a track to run for the next series.
f) teams can use whisper on ts .
I think this will add some fun to the series. The teams will change each season for an oppurtunity for everyone to get to know each other better.
Points is as follows :
1st;185
2nd:170
3rd:165
4th:160
5th:155
6th:150
7th:145
8th:140
9th:135
10th:130
and the list continues decreasing by 5 points with each position.
Bonus:
Pole = 5 points
leading a lap = 5 points
leading most laps = 5 points
finishing a race no matter damaged or not if the car is rolling and you cross the line =10 points
If there are any complaints please notify DJKJ737, DannieD, Tombstone, or PiLL-Doc . The 4 of us will get together and provide you a resolution . We dont forsee this....but just in case.
