Old School Gamers F1 Server

Hey all you Open Wheel fanatics. We have been having so much fun racing the stock cars on our dedicated server that we figured we should launch a part-time Open Wheel server. It if draws enough attention we may go ahead and run it off the dedicated box.

For now we are running the rFactor F1 2005 Mod by CTDP v1.2. It can be downloaded from here:

Just launch rFactor, select this mod and look for our server:

I know Ninja and P-Dad were already testing it out so look for them on TS if you have any questions.

Note: We may alternate this mod with a Rally or Off Road mod just to mix things up for our non stock car race fans.

Okay I installed it and it wont let me pick a car. They are all locked and I don't have enough experience points to use any of the cars. Is there a way around that? Gonna take me awhile to earn the 9,000 points it says I need.

Hey Tort. PsychoDad helped Ninja figure it out. You have to type a code in somewhere, maybe on the chat screen ??? but he code is "ISI_BABYFACTORY" to unlock all the cars.

Please post your favorite tracks so I can make sure they are loaded and in the top of the rotation on the server.

Turns out if I go MP its not a problem. It was single player that has the cars locked.

At the beginnning, the only car you can pick is the Minardi.

Go into a test session, start the session, then type "T" to open the chat window. Then type "ISI_BABYFACTORY" in and hit enter and that's it. The next time you're at the vehicle screen, they should all be unlocked.

All the Multiplayer cars should be unlocked when you play online anyway. You can only use any custom skins you download or make in the "offline" mode.

I just checked the F1 server. After launching it at 1am this morning it has run for 20+ hours and 21 different racers joined over that time. At one point at least 6 racers were on it at once and at least 1 actual race, maybe 2, took place. Not bad for a pick up server. I have the web site addy in the Message of the Day so it may generate some traffic. Please be on the look out for any F1 racers posting in here.
