Name change in rFactor

I know some guys have changed their rFactor player name to be "|OSG|Playername" to be more consistent with others. I found an easy way to do it without loosing setups or any preferences.

1. Go to C:\Program Files\rFactor\UserData\ and there should be a directory with your current player name. To add the |OSG| tag rename the folder and use "+~7cOSG+~7c"in front of your playername. Mine is "+~7cOSG+~7cPsychoDad".

2. Then do the same for the ".backup" and ".PLR" files in that subdirectory. (ex. +~7cOSG+~7cPsychoDad.backup and +~7cOSG+~7cPsychoDad.PLR)

NOTE: you have to repeat this for the Nascar mod since it is in a separate directory. It should be in "C:\Program Files\rFNascar Mod 2007\UserData\".

p-dad I think since you have already been recorded on the points system as your 1st name that it wont calculate correctly now because the program will see you as a new member. Thats why I havent changed mine out yet .

I changed before the season, and it looks right in the standings, so I think I'm OK. It's a good point you make about changing it during the season though...people should be aware of that. Thanks!
