Plat, since you go back to the original you will like what the have to say about the Iron Wrath expansion. (See other post and Announcement at top)
In addition to the new missions of the campaign, the expansion pack also includes three redone missions from previous versions of the game. My favorite is the Little Wing mission from Eagle Watch. Fans of the series will remember this as the mission that has you rescuing the crew of a Russian space shuttle on the launch pad. The Cold Thunder nighttime jungle mission from the original Rainbow Six and the Urban Ops mission, Iron Comet which has you rescuing a UN envoy in the streets of Istanbul. The content of the missions is entirely the same but they look quite a bit better with today's hardware. The maps for these classic missions are also available for generated missions as well.

I just wanteded to add a forewarning here about custom maps...When we used to play a lot before BF2, we started piling on custom maps. Certain maps gave certain people problems, there were different versions, and other issues. Also, someone would jump in to play with us (OSS member) and then have to go out, find the maps, download them and then start playing. This would frustrate people, and many times they would just bail due to not having much time. If there is only a few players, these maps can take forever to beat.
Also, some maps were better than others, Insanity, Ancient Temple, and several others proved challenging and fun. Others, like Death Towers and Krakatoa, have truckloads of tangoes, and seem more "gimmicky", not to mention they can take forever to finish. If we simply start playing under Iron Wrath, that will add a lot of maps to the rotation -- with Athena Sword and Iron Wrath that's already over 50 maps. Maybe we should wait and see what people think after playing under Iron Wrath.

Good point Dad.
Well, we have played IW a number of nights now. Good times as always. But I think we need to add some maps for more variety. I have posted these maps before.
(Athelete Village
Brick Hideout
Big Rooms
Death Tower2
Kill House Double
Tango Hunt
Trailer Park)
It would be nice to add some more maps like:
Peaks
Down the rabbit hole
Mad Minute
Village Snow
Helius
Or maybe looking at just adding a map pack or 2. There are alot of fun custom maps with varying levels of dificulty.
What do you guys think??????
I think I will be spending 3 days downloading maps to catch up....that's what I think. :)

i downloaded map packs 1,2,3 from sascave
I have all these maps in my documents already and I think they are downloaded in the game. The only exception that I find are Brick Hideout and Big Rooms. I tried to go to Sascave.com and there was nothing there. Even when I searched for it I came up with nothing. Whats up?

Hey Goat- check in the map packs for those. You will have to download the whole map pack to get them, but most maps in the pack are usually good ones any way. I think Kay downloaded map packs 1, 2, and 3. Try that.
