yes, thats right, i get to pile up the 'ol debt... as some of you may know (im sure very few of you do) i have a crappy car known as a "DSM" that likes to take every penny i get and then some. I got my 1990 eagle talon for $3,300 and the clutch and flywheel went out, $500 flywheel and $143 clutch disk later the 2nd gear syncro and most likely shift rails and shifts forks decided to become ... (searching for the right word) disconnected from the rest of the transmission. So.. i am getting a shep racing stage 4 transmission installed in my car this saturday morning, im getting a hell of a deal on it, its a $2,300 transmission and a $200 transfer case im having installed for $1,200, too good of a deal to turn down, but yeah, ( http://www.sheptrans.com/details.php?sid=1 ) ... its a hell of a deal, hopefully the only thing left to break on my car is the axles and the 3 bolt rear end!

*edit* ... im purchasing the transmission for $1,000 + $200 for installation.. yeah, the whole car is still worth about $500 to the average person

Let me see if I have this right . . .

The transmission is now worth more than the car?

Let me know how that works out. I've been thinking about a short throw, but I drive a Satrun L200 so I hardly think it's worth it.

You too BG? I get to plop down some cash on performance transmission #2 this weekend for my truck. It's not good finding bearings from the planetary on the magnet in the trans fluid pan.

I was looking for the smilly face where the guy hits himself in the head with a hammer.

OUCH! I'm sorry man, that just sounds like it sucks.

Hehehe. It's all part of the game, you gotta pay to play. I guess I'm putting enough power through it to break parts. :) Now where did I put that hammer?

Not trying to hijack your thread BG but here's my truck.

damn, that thing looks pretty sweet ninja, i like seeing some different things on trucks. i am more of a car person myself, and all people do to cars usually is put ugly body kits on them, but that truck looks pretty sweet. Up where i live we have someone who drives around a yellow truck like that, slightly different, like, he put corvette lights on the tail gate and stuff, idk, hes putting down about 500rwhp so its quick too... but, yeah, i like the look of your truck, nice color too

yeah, i suppose you have a point. my car isnt too "crappy" i mean, it runs strong, doesnt leak any fluids, and generally is a blast to drive. That being said, it has a decent amount of stuff done too it, energy suspension bushing kit, new trans + transfer case, new act 2600lbs clutch, new rps segmented flywheel, ported everything, apexi afc, crushed bov, "big brake" upgrade, magnacore plug wires, lotsa weight reductions (2920 lbs.!) a huge intake pipe and craploads of little stuff on top of a fresh rebuild... if maintenance is done correctly they should hold together all right, im just trying to scrape some money together so i can start "modding" it... yeah, soon to come is an entirely new fuel system, wally 255 fuel pump and a fpr, (maybe) braided ss lines, in line fuel filter and either 1,000cc or 1,600cc injectors + dsmlink, im looking forward to switching over to e85, produce alot more horsepower pretty easy as long as i can tune it... which means more and more money, wideband + egt + knock box + boost contoller and hundreds of other small things along the way.... sorry for waisting your time acting like im smart... what model is your eclipse, gsx? (raises eyebrows) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hjwH3lm7wAg <-- low 12 second dsm (bad recording skills on my part).... good times!
