Hey Guys I need to pick your brains.

Recentlly I have had some troubles with my PC at home: http://www.team-osg.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1513

One of my biggest conserns it getting back my wifes emails before I re-format the HD. I have been doing some reading on the net and it seems I need to get a hold of these .pst files and copy them to a CD. Has anyone done this before and does it work?

Please don't send me a PM on this topic just post it here please, I can only check this from work not home...

Thanks,

Parasitic

Thanks,

This Microsoft article should do the trick for you. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/287070

If you do it the manual way you can locate the .pst files in here C:\Documents and Settings\<Username>\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook\

It does work I do it all the time when I do reinstalls.

Awsome!

Thanks Parasite! I'm also going to install a new HD which the OS and office will be the only thing installed on!
