This was the BF1942 mod that sparked BF2.
It is only at 675mb DL. I got it in 30 minutes from Filecloud.

I am going to the last Panther home game for the season tonight. I have to wait until after that to try it out. The screens and trailer look sweet.

I DL'd and installed this mod last night but have not played it yet. Those that have tried it please try to post what new/favorite features are.
BTW...we finally got the ABR stats working on the OSG PR Server. If DC turns out to be as good and popular maybe we will host some BF2: DC on Scrim Nights.

Do the weapons have the same spread pattern as vanilla BF2? Like the M4 for the SpecOps.

I played today for about 30 minutes. It is like sour vanilla BF2. Lots of running and gunning, no organization, heavy lag, bad pilots and zero teamwork. The new maps are small and end up being a spawn campfest. I could be wrong but it was my first impression. Maybe the newness needs to rub off.
I quickly left DC and played PR. Ahhh the satisfaction ...............of wiping out a rally point hidden in the bush of OP Ghost Train............being in a fully equipped organized cooperative VOIP squad that flanks an enemy defensive position looking the other way on Helmand............setting up a rocket, smoke and mine laden road ambush on armor column heading to the village on Qwai River. (note a tactic I learned today: have a spec op guy lay charges on the road and engineer lay mines in the grass. the armor will always choose grass....deadly)
