I am there.
I really want to discuss the whole racing scene here at OSG and how we can start to tie it all together, crossovers, tiers, special events, etc. Our core group is freaking awesome. I think back to Season 1 Race 1 and it was a little bit like this past Monday. We just need to keep setting the standards high and protecting the interest of the dedicated core group.
I will PM some of the guys to try to get thm to sit in and give feedback.

Below is an attempt to summarize the larger portions of what was discussed/decided at the Wednesday night meeting.
We decided to switch back to NROS after receiving good feedback from several drivers of the latest version. More info on the newest version is that it is more similar to NASCAR Racing 2003 than NASCAR Sim Racing. All NROS 2007 Mod and Track files are installed and running on the server and uploaded to the FTP. The first race of the "official" Season 2 will be June 4th. We will keep the same schedule but move Daytona back as there may be an issue on the SuperSpeeday tracks that will be fixed in an upcoming patch. I have set the Daytona race to coincide with the Pepsi 400. We will stay with team racing. Still to be decided are the car numbers, whether it is Season 2 Try #1 cars or Try#2 cars.
All new NROS patches and/or track updates will be tested by 3-4 volunteer test drivers to ensure that a move to the newer version will not have a negative impact on our racing.
The issue of policing our race server and TS channel much like we do with our BF2 servers was discussed. It was unanimous that we should aggressively police our servers to protect the racing experience of our members. Anyone being disruptive or disrespectful (member or guest) will be given a warning. If there continues to be an issue the person will be kicked.
Drivers not on the list in the initial Season 2 post will need to participate in a Qualifying race on either Friday/Saturday/Sunday before the Monday race. We will run a fixed server Busch or Truck series race at the same track. New drivers will be required to particpate and current drivers are encouraged to participate. The goal is for new drivers to run with current drivers and for both to get a feel for how drivers handle themselves on the track and on TS. We hope to avoid allowing a new driver to join in on a Monday points race only to have them, intentionally or unintentionally, ruin the race for the other drivers.
We also discussed promoting OSG Racing. We are going to try and make sure all members have SIGs that promote OSG and the website so when they post on racing forums it gives us exposure.
We will focus on recruiting quality and not quantity.
I proposed we continue to look for chances to run Special Event races like what Viper has setup for the Indy500 weekend. If we promote these special events and open them up to new drivers, we may be able to recruit new drivers to the series.
There may be some I missed and I hope others that attended will fill in the gaps.

Hi All,
I made a post about trying this new mod in another thread, I'm glad to see it happen!
Things have been a little topsy-turvy for me the last couple of weeks and I haven't been checking the forums as frequently as I would like.
Do I just go to NROS.org to get all the new stuff or can someone shoot me a link to the ftp server to get caught up? I'm assuming the ftp server has all the updated tracks as well(JNS perhaps?:)).
Thanks, and I'll see you at the track!

Just go to http://www.nros.org/nascar/files.php and download NR 2007 rfactor and the patch (1.02). We are using the tracks on that page as well (NROS tracks). Hope this helps.
