NROS 2007 Install

Hello All,

Does this newest version of NROS install into the root rFactor folder or is it a fully packaged version of rFactor?

I've tried both ways and I get no sound plus another error message about not being able to load one of the loading screens.

It is a standalone version. It will create a seperate install directory with all the rFactor 1250 files necessary. Just make sure you have the tracks installed in the correct folder. The default directory for most of the tracks is INCORRECT and you must point it to your NASCAR 2007 install directory.

Look for somone on TS if you still have issues.

I installed the tracks to GAMEDATA/LOCATIONS instead of the NASCAR 2007 default dir. I'll make those changes and let you know. I also need to get to the store and get myself a set of headphones:rolleyes:

the link in the forums points to the server edition of this mod, are we supposed to be using the client version? I went to NROS.org and saw both of these there.

Also there is a d/l for a carset. Do we need this to get the cars with skins on them?

CORRECTION: I d/l the mod from the ftp, but the other questions about dedicated or client version and carset still stand.

I''m having crazy problems getting this one installed :confused:

I installed the mod from the ftp, with the update and got no sound. I tried d/l the mod from NROS.org (client edittion) and that worked sort of, but there seem to be two of every car.

example; 11 11 FEDEX
the 11 FEDEX car wouldn't even load, when I went back to the other one, the colors were all screwed up.

on top of all of that the only make I see is COT :rolleyes:

Tony sounds like lots of trouble, at this point it might be worth deleting the files and starting over. Here are the files you need, goto NROS

NR2007 rFactor - Clients Full no Tracks
NR2007 rFactor - Patch 1.0.0 to 1.0.2
NR2007 rFactor - Carset 1 Clients

and the Texas Motor Speedway
Texas is our first race, do the rest of the sec if you have time. Make sure you point the tracks to the right file, most of them want to go to the wrong spot.

I would also download the - NROS Spotter ISI-J. Johnson
it is better than the default spotter, let me know if you need help.
