Season 2 - NASCAR Racing 2007 - Custom Skins

We are now running the latest NROS mod which uses different templates from what we have been using. So please post your new custom paint jobs here. Once we get them all together we will make an OSG Racing Series custom skin installer. This way you can download them all or individually.

This post wil be updated with instructions on how to create a custom skin for the new mod.

Get painting..the start of the season is only 1 week away!

Below is an attempt at explaining the custom skin use in game by Giaky. I will work on a translation soon.

extra0 is the cot skin.

in car folder add newfolder called SKINS
enter in this folder and make another called MISC

now
in car folder have sw skin and cot skin.
for add multiple car skin, just put in skins folder the skin, not same name at first, for example
car 24
24.dds is original, multiple skin, put new skin called 24A.dds 24B.dds ecc

for cot
original is 24extra0.dds
in SKINS folder add multiple cot skin, just for fast selection add COT in name.
put your cot skin, 24COTA.dds 24COTB.dds
now copy your cot skin and paste in MISC folder and rename it to 24COTAextra0.dds 24COTBextra0.dds
working fine.

just copy original skin and make same of this example for select the main skin.

Be sure to post your custom skins so we can all have them before the Monday night race. If you need help getting your skin into the game or in making an installer just get with me or Kilr or Tookin.

Please download this file to add Chrome Rims to the Toyota Cup cars #'s 00, 36, 44, and 55. The other Toyotas already have custom Red Rims.

Just run the installer and make sure the drive letter matches your game install directory.

I have posted an installer for 2 custom skins for my #44 Toyota. This installer will also update the Team Red Bull Racings #00, #44, #83, and #84 VEH files to reflect the correct team name. Get the #3 Chevy Monte Carlo SS from the FTP server. This car is not included in the NROS NASCAR Racing 2007 Mod so in order to see ragnar in the track you MUST install this car file.

I have just uploaded the NEW 3 car file that includes the COT for this weeks race. Be sure to get it from either the OSG FTP server or from the Alt FTP server here (http://www.digitalreactor.com/downloads/racing/rfactor_downloads/nros/3-2007_MC_Chevy_Final.exe).

Everyone will need this car in order to race this Monday night. (or ANY COT race)
