Explosives Ordinance Badge

Level 1: Kill 5 people with Explosives.

I cant get it. Or so it seems.

I have 694 Explosive kills. I've killed so many people with C4, grenades, slaymores, 500lb bombs, bottle rockets, whistlers, roman candles, sparklers ... It wont give me this badge.

Just the other day I stood on the Construction Sight on Sharqi and used the grenade launcher to kill 7-10 guys with just my 1 guy (no deaths). No badge. I used hand grenades and killed like 10 guys in 1 round, no badge. All of these were in Ranked Servers and BEFORE the stat outage of last month. And I know since 2005 I've met the requirement for this badge times over and over.

So what do they consider an explosive? Ive used C4, grenades, M204 ...

Also, on a side note, where do strategic points for the Spec Ops go? When you play as Spec Ops and blow up the other team's UAV, Arty and Trailer, where is that counted on your stats?

I hate to break it to you but you can't get the badge from using "anything" that explodes. :(

You have to get the kills useing any combination of clays, c4, or AT mine. Only these three devices will help you earn the badge.

The other thing is that the servers have had a lot of trouble updating stats. I guess they're starting to update, but be aware that if you earn the badge it might not show up right away.

Veteran Explosives Ordinance Badge Awarded to personnel who have proven themselves with explosive ordinance during any period the unit was engaged in active combat.

I can only guess that the servers you have accomplished the 5 kills in a round (IAR) were ones that their stats reporting was broken. It shows that you have the 50 and 300 kills with them so it must be that? Very strange!

You have to be in the right place, at the right time, with the right equipment, and the right training.

You have to be on a ranked server. It has the gold chevrons (two gold up arrows) doo dad, shown on the server list. Only ranked servers report your stats to HQ, who then sends your award. Un-ranked servers don't.

You have to get the kills during one map. 5 kills before the map ends.

You must use c4 or claymore or AT-mine.

All three are defensive weapons - plant it where you think they will come, and wait. c4 is an offensive weapon when attached to something that moves - like a vehicle. Ive seen you play DF2 - you have the skill.
