Additional Speed?

Hey guys I need your help. My cable company is offering a new deal that says they will offer a newer Internet Cable connection with an increase of 7.2 Mbps speed for gamers for an additional $15 a month. Is that worth it or is just a rip off? This would be a seperate connection over and beyond the regular internet connection which I don't think is right to begin with? But they are in the money making business! Help me out here?

Find out what your upload rate is currently set at. Most of the time the huge number hype is for your download and yes it's nice to have but what you really want is a higher upload speed. So unless they hype your upload to 1 or even 2 MB I would say yes but it's not really going to benefit you. (Note: most standard cable modems have a 384 KBps upload about 1/3 MB)
