There is a new mod for HalfLife 2 called Insurgency. I played this morning before work for about an hour. I have been waiting all day to get back home and get at it again. Basically, it is house to house, no vehicle tactical combat. Here are some links to look at.

You need the game HalfLife 2 to play it. You can buy HL2 at Best Buy for $20. It came out in 2004, but it is a heavily modded game due to the sweet game engine Source. You also have to create a Steam account to play it. If you played HalfLife, HL2 or Counterstrike online you already have a Steam account.

Just a tip if you think you already have a Steam account, but deleted all your files. After BF2 came out in 2005 I deleted all my Steam account and game files to clear room on my drive. When I updated my ATI card in June it came with a free Steam game download. Since I was looking for something new to play and it was free, I knew it was for me. All I did was download the client again and entered my original screenname and password from 2002 and I was active again. I did not have to go look for my discs or anything. Steam downloaded HalfLife 2, Day of Defeat and Counterstrike again. It did not even ask me for my CD key. Pretty freaking easy compared to Novalogic and the reinstallation of JO. So go for it.
