I went ahead and used some of my Best Buy reward certificates and a 10% off coupon to pickup this game for $20. I still enjoy the FPS games like R63, GRAW2, etc. and am looking forward to COD4. I just need a break and the strategy/teamwork aspect of this makes it appealing.

I will try and post some feedback from online multiplayer games. If anyone else has it please post or look for me on TS.

This game's Single Player game is epic. Very surreal watching the scenario of the U.S. being invaded unfold during the cut scenes. I will definately be playing this, both single player and multi player, on my gaming nights. This may be the most fun I have had in an RTS since StarCraft.

Has anyone created an Old School Gamers clan in World in Conflict? It says the clan is already created by another user please try again. Only the person creating a clan can add send invites to new members and can upload a clan graphic.

I think we may have tried this in the beta. I am going to look thru old posts now but if anyone remembers who created the OSG - Old School Gamers caln for WiC please post here. This could be bad blow to online gameplay if our team name is locked out of being used.

I thought I remember something about creating a clan in the beta but I could never find it. I ended up creating the .OSG. clan and the tag will be [.OSG.] at the end of a players name. (it looked better than [|OSG|], or at least I thought it did.) If anyone else gets online with this game I can be sure to invite you to the clan so you can use the tag and the clan image.

The ability to coordinate with players controlling units on your side is what makes this a different RTS. The game play is less about fast-twicth action and more about strategy. The better coordinated one side is the better the chance they will win the fast paced matches.

I am going to try to start getting OSG ranked somewhere on the leaderboards, even if it is last.

Took a break from the Single Player story mode and played some Skirmish Mode against AI Bots tonight. Trying to get my feet with balancing attacking strategies and defending strategies against the AI before trying it live. Plus it is good to learn the maps and where the command points are located.

I had thought we had some guys playing this game. I thought Nip and Dave played the demo and talked about getting it and Coolio mentioned he and Crazy have tried it. It would be great to try some skirmishes with 4+ OSG vs 4+ Bots in order to get some basic tactics and gameplay down.

Oh well, I will be playing this mostly, mixing in some racing and R63/GRAW2, until COD4 comes out. If anyone wants to know how the game plays the demo is still available.

This game definately looked good (and im glad to see someone else enjoyed starcraft as well, i still have my copy, may have to break that out and go retro...), however, my pc officially blows... It will be awhile until I can upgrade my pc, maybe not till after christmas. till then, i will just have to watch on the sidelines for this one. keep the updates coming!

Okay Tomb I bit. I bought the game today at Target. I went to get R6:V egas. The guy in the department said that they got sent 3 stores worth of games, movies and cd's because of closings and openings of stores in the area. They had WIC for $39. Damn impulse buy. So I will be looking for ya.

LOL...I am now expecting Punisher to post that I talk to myslef all the time at work too.:D Just make sure you like strategy games. Most units have special offensive and defensive abilities that you can individually control and direct but mostly you are just deciding what to throw into the fight and when to throw it in. It is kinda like coach mode in a PC/Console football game.

Hey Comet, I still have SC and the BroodWar expansion. Be sure to check out Whiskey's post on an OSG buy/see/trade forum. You may be surprised, something another OSG posts may be able to give your system a boost.

Wow...now I am really feeling the pressure. Hope you like it. I think the ability to coordinate together and combine strategies, much like we enjoy doing do in R63, really makes this a great game. There will be no lone wolfing it and winning.

Ok, last night I was able to send Invites to Pongo and Mac. Anyone else playing should post there player name here or on teh Massgate sites .OSG. clan forum. I promoted Pongo to Clan Leader in case he was on more than me this weekend.

Also, make sure to checkout how your Massgate Forum Avatar is also displayed on your units in game. There is a whole thread about it on the forums.

Unfortunately, I played about an hours on a server last night only to find iut it was not RANKED. :rolleyes: I am going to make sur eto use the filters on the server screen so this doesn't happen again.

Can't wait to play alongside some OSG squadmates.

The single player campaign is very immersive and fun. I hope to get some more OSG vs AI games going. The destruction effects are awesome.
