Downloaded the demo today and started playing it. I'll just say that I hope this is only because it's a demo but so far the game has been very buggy. I've attempted to play it about 3-4 times and it has caused complete system lockup in every case at random points in the map. I've also had one instance of textures completely missing as in the player and character skins, mountain ranges, rocks, and other objects in addition to poor shadow rendering. A restart of the map fixed the textures problem. I'm currently running the game using it's built-in graphic suggestions which after it scanned my system, put all the graphics options to medium and the shader setting at high. I'm also running at 1280x1024 with 6x anti-aliasing. I'll keep this update if I come across anything new.
As for gameplay, the game is pretty awesome and you can do some really cool things now. The grahpics look fantastic and trees falling down after shooting them with a bunch of rounds and shooting out the tires of vehicles adds some new dimension to the game. If you liked FarCry, you'll feel at home in Crysis. I just hope I can get some more game play in without crashes.

I have had it for about a month or so, from fileplanet. I really like it, not a lot of crashes, only thing I noticed bad was sometimes the screen kinda goes blurry when you look around. We shoud go on some night Ninja Assi. I think the game play and visuals are great, under water and the fish. WOW.

under water and the fish. WOW.
Uh oh...that's gonna make Pulver want to play.
I was curious how the gameplay was. I did not realize the single player demo was out that long or are you playing the Beta Coolio?

Yes the Beta, got an early trial.
Looks like I will be out of commission for a while, looks like the pump went on the Liquid Cooling. Have emailed ThermalTake to see what they will do since only bought VE2000BWS Armor LCS in late April.
I was about go into RS it with the guys and it died, BLACK. Rebooted and checked CPU temp normally 25 deg C it was over 100 deg C hope chip is not fried. I shut it down ASAP, am now limited to old laptop.

Damn, sorry to hear about that Coolio. Hopefully Thermaltake goes good for the water cooler. I was going to look you up on TS tonight and maybe and compare notes on the game.
Just an update. I played a little more last night after completely turning off the in-game anti-aliasing and continuing to use the game's suggested settings and it played a little longer but still acted up. This time however instead of crashing, the game completely froze, gave me a Windows error, then went back to the game screen and slowly became playable again. It did it once more after that and also recovered. I'm suspecting that it might be video driver issues at this point and that when the full version comes out there will be better card support. According to the requirements my system is more than capable to run this game at higher settings.

I had so many problems trying to play the demo that I uninstalled it. I still have it on pre-order at Gamestop so hopefully it will be as Ninja said. Hell, it wasn't even released yet and PC Gamer just gave it a 98% rating in the latest issue that I got yesterday!
Man Coolio, that really sucks. I hope it did not fry!

I'm suspecting that it might be video driver issues
I had posted in another thread (http://www.team-osg.com/forum/showthread.php?t=2021&page=2) that I saw that NVIDIA had released new drivers specifically for the release of the Crysis Demo. I think you are using ATI but if NVIDIA felt the need to make a driver release specifically timed with the demo release then maybe there are some graphics/driver issues they are aware of. I would be surprised if ATI was not working on a similar driver update but chose to work on it and release it when the game ships.

I have been playing it since Monday. I had to tweak my video setting from their recommended. I am playing with some settings on low. The AI is good and hard to put down with a few shots. I like the cloak feature but it does not last long. I will be interested to see what the final release with the multiplayer will look like.
