More New RavenShield Maps - Both COOP and ADV

Whiskey and I have been talking on TS and PM'ing each other about getting new maps and new maplists up for the R63 server. I gave Whiskey the instructions for creating new maplists and installing new maps. I have spent some time today uploading and installing 33 new maps to the box. I have also uploaded the map files for streaming. If you want to DL and install the map files on your own PC just look for the folder named "10-31-2007" in the Installed Maps folder on the FTP.

I hope to join you all soon for either COOP or ADV action.

*UPDATE: I have added more maps today for a total pf 56 new maps to the server. Many of these are adversarial only but 1/3 to 1/2 should be COOP.*

The ones I am loading now are some of the 1.5 GB of map files you burned to CD back in 2003-2004. I knew they could come in handy some day.:cool:

So, since I seem to have problems streaming some maps, should I go to the FTP and download them? Is that the best way? I'll have to figure out how to do that I guess....

Balti just sent out a PM and made an update to the post "New to the FTP" that tells you how to login to the FTP. Once you get in just browse to the Raveshield folder, the installed maps folder, and then look for the folders with dates, indicating when those maps were uploaded. Once you get them DL'd just install to you Ravenshield directory.

We now have over 1000 files, weighing in at more than 1.4 GB, of streaming map files for the R63 server.

Hey Thanks Tomb! We have been getting a lot of good players lately. I think a new rotation would great.

For you regular members who play the easiest way to get the maps is through the FTP. Log into it and hit Page and then click Open FTP Site in Windows Explorer. You can then navigate to the Rainbow 6 folder and open the 10-31-07 folder. Then create a folder for your maps on your Desktop or Download folder. Now go back to the FTP page and click Edit and then Select All. Hold your left mouse button down on at least one of the files and drag those to your folder that you created for downloads. Depending on connection speed it may take 10 minutes download. Then install the maps into your Ravenshield folder. Most will auto install or ask for the folder. Don't be lame you can do it. Then you don't have to stream the maps. The whole process may take you up to 20 minutes.

Hope it works tonight. I left last night after the TS crashed 5 times within 15-20 minutes. Something was haywire with the HAL 9000 prototype? It kept locking me in the space port and at one point tried to eject me from the mothership?
