PLACE THE |OSG| IN FRONT OF PLAYER NAME UNDER MULTIPLAYER OPTIONS
Don't create your PROFILE with the |OSG| tags. Create your PROFILE with just your player name ("nick", "handle", whatever...) and then launch the game in MULTIPLAYER MODE, go to OPTIONS, go to MULTIPLAYER OPTIONS (not available in SP mode), and there you add |OSG| at the BEGINING of your name, inlcuding the | (straight line brackets). I was able to switch back and forth from |OSG| to _OSG and maintain the muliplayer EXP that I had gained. Not sure if you can edit the base profile name but I know you can add special symbols and text up to 14 characcters. This gives you more flexibility.
