Here's a poll to pick your TWO favorite game play modes. If you would like to discuss it, please do. We would like to figure out which style of game play MOST members would like to have our server running.

Here's a brief rundown of all :

* Free-for-All (deathmatch) - normal deathmatch mode where EVERYONE is a target.
* Team Deathmatch - classic team based deathmatch
* Domination - Capture various flags (3) and defend them with your team mates - once killed, you can re-spawn.
* Search and Destroy - Grab the bomb and help your team place it on the enemy's target. Once you are killed, you are out until the match is over.
* Headquarters - Very similar to Search and Destroy in that you have to control and defend an area (HQ) - it moves location after each attempt.
* Sabatoge - Like Search and Destroy, but you re-spawn after you are killed.

I don't see the SBM game mode listed? Isn't there a "Silence the Butt Monkey" mode where we don't have to listen to Punisher whine?:D

It is not every time that Tomb attempts humor. Last night was frustrating for all of us especially Balti. It is a new game with new server and console commands. I think some were trying to tweak the game and others would make their comments about whatever. That is why I suggested going to an empty server until Balti figured it out. We did see some interesting gameplay from the other pub players. After Balti sorted it out the server commands we ended up back on our server. All was well I think.

Now my comments on the poll.

Free for All sucks. It is not bad to warm up and everything but it is basically a run and gun points accumulator.

Sabotage and S&D are the same except one you respawn and the other you don't. I like both, but prefer S&D.

I played Headquarters in COD2 and it was fun. I voted for it just for a change.

I think the other modes are also variations of COD2 gameplay. I want to try them all. I especially would like to try the Hardcore mode like PR. Overall the game is good but my jaw has not dropped over it like all the fanboys in other forums. May be rushing around and nade spamming is the way to go. If it is, I know one game that will collect dust.

I'm going to keep my vote for a few more days. As others have mentioned here and in other threads, I'd like to try out Domination and Headquarters a little more.

I'm wondering if it is possible (I haven't tried it with our server yet) to mix it up a bit. Say, one map is Domination, one Search and Destroy, etc. I think that is possible. SO...if in tinkering with the game and maps in various game modes, see which maps work best in certain game modes. We might be able to please everyone here if this works!

I like the game but I apologize guys! I sort of got frustrated last night. I just got damn tired of getting killed all the time and not killing anyone? It was just that I would empty a mag from a SAW into a guy just to have him turn around and pop me with one or two shots? I know I'm not that bad of a shot! I guess I will get over it? I don't know why anybody would bitch about the server or Balti. The man works his ass off constantly so nobody should have a bitch about anything. The only mode I don't like is free for all so I don't know how to vote because here in Florida we should be allowed more than one vote? So if you have a bitch about Balti, "SHUT UP ALREADY AND GET A LIFE">

Wouldn't it be interesting if a future expansion pack included vehicles (like UO for COD 1)? I have to say, being a fan of the infantry only of BF2, I like no vehicles. Being able to call in airstrikes and helo raping is fun though...

Ok - I found out that this IS possible. So, as we play these maps, try and figure out which ones would be good for which game mode styles. We can certainly run one as an S&D, one as Team Deathmatch, a Domination one, Sabotage, etc. This is a GREAT option.

The boat map is definitely NOT good for Domination as we saw last night. I'm sure the small one with the cargo containers isn't either (maybe a Team Deathmatch?) Please post your thoughts on the various maps and game mode styles here.
