Hey guys,

I was playing with the Drunken old Guys this morning ( www.doghq.net ), they had a nice server and it had a cool feature. They had reflexive friendly fire on. So if you injured someone, you got injured instead, if you killed someone . . . well you get the point. It was cool, because it wasn't on hardcore, but the game was still "slowed down" enough for it to be fun. I posted in their forums to come check us out if they feel like building the old guy community. Maybe we should check out that feature though.

It should be a setting Balti can turn on in the server config file. I have seen the setttings for it in another file in case they are not in the default config. I am not sure if that would be a Ranked server setting though.

*Edit: It would still be ranked as the following setting is in the default config.

• Friendly Fire: Enabled / Shared / Reflect / Disabled


I am still needing to get some players to test out the Mod server to see if the new settings work. FF is on, standard type, along with Martyrdom and Last Stand turned off. We can test out any of the 3 types of FF. I think there is standard, reflective and shared.

I think it's great to see what other servers are doing that makes the game play more fun. We probably need to start a thread for server settings suggestions. We can try them out on either the Ranked or the Mod server.

For all COD4 players, let's give Tomb's modded server a good run tonight and try this stuff out. We can split the players amongst the Team Alpha and Bravo channels and get some good old fashioned team play running.

In fact, more than one person will give it to you resulting in a jumbled mess of numbers. There will be a short pause, then half of the original people will give you the IP again result in a jarbled mess followed by another short pause, then one person will give you the IP and you'll be all set. :D
