i looked at the call of duty main website under updates and dont see this update i dont know if it is a hoax or what i just want to be sure before i install it because i dont want to have to reinstall the game anyone else seen this or post what u think .

I'd be wary of this one. Like Crazy says, it's not on the main site.

Four Two Zero has been a community mod for years for COD so I think it would be legit although maybe premature. I don't think all the 1.3 files for dedicated only servers and linux servers have been released. Maybe IW was planning on waiting and the community mod jumped the gun by a day..or two.

I hit auto update in the game and it brought me to a COD website with the 1.03 patch on it...I won't update until you guys give the green light though.

Where the F do I find the 1.2? I downloaded McFeely's zip version but it errors out when I go to run it with...."update failed to run because mss32.dll was not found".....whatever that means.

It says that once installed, you will not be able to connect to 1.2 servers anymore. I will update our server when I get home from work this afternoon - it will be running 1.3 by 5pm EST.

Maxx, it looks as if custom skins are disabled with the new patch from reading through some forum posts.

Roo - the 1.3 patch will update ALL previous versions of the game FYI.

OSG servers are updated to version 1.3 (not showing up on the server list yet as of right now) and I put the patch for 1.3 on the FTP under COD4/Patches.
