Got em...
Hey Maxx, you mentioned last night on TS about not working with Vista. This is from the readme file : "The CoD4 Mod Tools do not work in Windows Vista, although some users have reported some success running them in Windows XP Compatibility Mode." Did you try that?

Also, we are men and do not generally read directions ;) but you must extract all of the files in this into your installation folder for COD. Check the readme file included in the zip file for more info on what exe to run to start modding!

^^^^^
The above constitutes directions and all men should erase said instructions from their minds. Figure it out, that's why we're men!!!!
Ok, just started downloading. very large, 600 megs. Hopefully a lot easier to use than the one for regular COD. I tried that one and putting in a single wall was a half hour task there. Gonna try and complete my dream of a monster bunker assault map.
I'd also love to throw it out there for a map something like a beach assault. COD2 had an awesome one like that.

Yeah, after looking at the mod tools, this is why I'm just a dumb popo. WOW! Looks like you need some sort of degree to even figure this stuff out. Kudos to those who do! It would be nice to get on a COD4 server in the future and see things like: "Map designed by |OSG| Comet, Maxxblood, Ninja, Crazy, Tombstone", etc! with our web site address and such in the load screen!

Thanks for the info Maxx.
And Balti, I think we should start a sticky in the COD4 folder for Modding tips and links to tutorials. Not everyone has to learn how to do everything. Some will want to but others can help design a map, build a map, create textures for the map, do the lighting for map, play test the map, etc.
I found some great sites for map making tutorals for the unreal engine and I am sure before long there will be some for the COD4 tools.
UPDATE: The Mod Tools are now on FilePlanet and FileShack for fast downloading.
