Just letting you know that there's a 1.4 to 1.5 patch out...you can get it on fileplanet...i'm there's other places. Or, you can do like i did...just let xfire take care of it...

Eh, new map? I'll see if I can't get our server updated and add the map before I leave for Disney. Thanks for the news Sask!

Update: Our server is now v1.5 - I did not see a new map listed in the readme file or in the admin forums I usually use to help with installing/modifying our servers. If there's a new map, it is not in our rotation as of yet. Will look into this more when I get home from work.

I also updated Punkbuster for COD4 on our server.

hmmm.... i read somewhere that there was a new map in the patch. must have been some bad info. And to think, I got my hopes up and put on my lucky new hat map. Well, I guess I'll just pack the giant foam cowboy hat back up till the next patch...

lol...I couldn't find it on any of the server lists last night when I searched. Those mod maps were pretty cool though...

BTW, some are having problems with their downloads...either from Filefront or Fileplanet (someone please confirm). Mine was downloaded directly via Xfire and I had no problems with it.

didny work for me , the fileshack one. said it couldnt find cd key.

hey guys it seems the only way to get this patch is from xfire, ty sask for the info , xfire is awsome.

I got mine from fileplanet this morning, and after patching our servers, got in with no problems.

You can also get the file from File Front, for those of you that dispise x-fire as much as I do. When you download the file it should be 10 megs or so. The one provided through the link above is 36 megs and doesn't work.

As for the maps I really liked the village, I was informed by one of you that this was a map in the single player version (great sniper map). Any and all of the maps we played last night will have to be played on the mod server. And judging by the way people were in and out of the servers last night, this is the key to high traffic. We need to get together and get our game together.

Hey I had fun last night playing on those custom maps. Yes I even had fun when Comet and Allstar were dominating me and Sask in Capture the Flag.(bitches)

There are some custom maps under mod servers. Just alphabetize the map names and any you see with "mp" before it are modded maps that will automatically download once you join the server...Is that what you were asking?

Yeah Chis, we played Canada, Subway and Offices off that list last night. Canada had a village atmosphere lots of buildings with dark rooms, Subway was pretty awesome with darkness and multilevels (still wondering how they got that plane to do an airstrike down there) and Offices was okay.

There is an auto update feature on the main menu of COD4. Should i not load it up this way. With all the reference to Fileplanet.. etc... im questioning doing it? It also said that if you load up 1.5 you will not be able to view 1.4 servers. Has our server been updated? I just want to make sure all is ok, so when i load it... im not excluding myself from entering out server.

The patch worked for me the night that we were playing the mods with Mac and I got it from FilePlanet. Those Mod maps were awsome

Yeah, some of them were ok...apparently some people were losing information from their profiles once they started playing regular COD4 though...didn't happen to me.
