1st Pre-Season Match

Looks like Sunday, the 17th at 8pm EST using the server settings mentioned in my previous post. The map being played is in domination/hardcore and is Overgrown for week one. Week two will be District. We play the Mature Gamers ( http://www.mature-gamers.com (http://www.mature-gamers.com/) ). We are the one hosting the match, and I will have our server set up for it on Sunday before I leave for work.

Those that need to sign up at BFCL, PLEASE DO SO ASAP!! Especially if you plan on playing in this or the TF2 ladder as roster changes will be FROZEN soon!

I still need a couple of volunteers to co-lead the COD4 team. As mentioned, I cannot make this match since I'm working. Our TF2 team has Pongo and Maxxblood as co-leaders for the team. I'd like to see two step up for our COD4 team (team leaders DO NOT have to be admins). Team leaders would be responsible for the following: helping organzie practices and matches (as to who can be available), being a liasion with the competition for the night, and reporting our match results on the BFCL web site.

Please post in this thread your availability for practice, whether or not you want to be a team leader and if you can make the match on Sunday....we need 7 to play (at least 9 yes responses would be good for this one to make sure we will definitely have enough!!!!!!!) I'd hate to see us have to forfeit ANY match, let alone the first pre-season match we've ever played in this league.

I'll send out email reminders to all that haven't signed up at BFCL. If you see anyone not signed up (especially those listed above) on TeamSpeak...PLEASE direct them to sign up!!

I will try and be on to help organize some practice rounds Friday and Saturday nights. I probably won't be available for the match Sunday night. How many do we need as a minimum to start on Sunday?

We can try it tonight. Our server. Once we get 6+ on, we can just divide channels if need be and work on tactics.

As you mentioned, we need more of our regular players to advise if they can make it sunday night....not gonna look good if we have to forfeit our first pre-season match!?

I'll try to be on tonight for practice. This is a very busy weekend for me.

Ok guys, for those of you that read the forums on a regular basis, and will be there tonight for our POTENTIAL pre-season match, I have set our server up for it and it is ready to go. Someone with either COD4 Rcon Commander OR our dedicated server access should probably be there to restart the match if needed. All the correct settings are there and the password is bfcl - to join our server with the password: highlight our server in your favorites, look at the bottom and click password, enter bfcl and click ok and you will join the right way. I changed the map rotation for just the map being played tonight (Overgrown) and it has all the settings ready to go. Please check the rules page in our forums under COD4 as I copied and pasted the rules (for the pre-season, arty, uavs and helos are allowed - which is different).

Finally, we are supposed to play the Mature Gamers {MG} guys tonight at 8pm EST. I tried registering on their forums (no luck), I tried joining their TS last night (no luck), I posted in the forums at BFCL in reference to this and heard from a lot of other teams but not the MGs yet....so...there is a chance that they don't even know about it (team leaders are supposed to read the BFCL forums for updates). I posted in there today about this and if there is another team that has a no-show, I offered them to stop in our TS to get something going. Either way, if they show or another one does, good luck to those who make it....we may just need to unleash Blaze, Billy and Ninja on everyone!

I'll also put a post in the admin forums about the changes I made and how to change our server back after the match (or if no one shows).

Guys, I have the admin'ing of the server down for tonight as far as map restarts, etc. Someone want to handle the liason duties between the two teams? I'm not familiar with the actual match rules, how many rounds, etc. Plus, if I'm actually going to play tonight as well it's a lot to take on including admin'ing the server.

Mature Gamers never showed up and we couldn't reach any of them either in their game server or TS server.

Balti and Ninja, thanks for trying. It looked like a good group of OSG were up in the COD4 channel on TS. I think the other groups were just skeared! :eek:

']['We were there but only had 5 during match time. We still would have played though I think if they showed up.
