Practice & Match Server

We now have another |OSG| server for practice, match or scrim use. It is NOT a 24/7 server, but can easily be started up by an admin with box access to use at anytime. I will return our regular server back to various map/mode rotations.

Yes I did and I agree it does....seems like it may help us in competitions if we always play with that on.

I just updated the server to reflect the final rules. I have made the practice/match server a 24/7 server during the league season and set the mod server to run on a manual start. This is not hard to do...I think we need a separate thread on that server since it doesn't get used much.

Also, the maps are all stock. They leave out four maps, which I have removed from the match/practice server : Cargoship (Wet Works), Bloc, Shipment, and Crash_Snow.

Let me know if you guys would agree on taking them off of our regular server so that when we are playing that, we are getting more and more practice on the league maps. Up to you guys. I have already removed Shipment from our regular server (hearing Maxxblood jump for joy...)

Also, look for the poll on COD4 match nights. They are debating whether to make them Sunday nights at 9pm EST. I know this conflicts with those of you that race. The final rule, as most of their ladders/leagues go, is that the match has to be played during that week...with negotiating the night between the two teams. So...the poll is going to ask you to pick your top FOUR nights that you would be most available to play a match in COD4 during the week. Whatever the tops of the poll are, those are the ones we will shoot for during the match day/time negotiations.

Thanks to everyone working on making this easy for the rest to join and play in the macthes. Time on the practice server can also be used to learn the maps. Those that know map "secrets" should give tours to others before the shooting starts.;)

Hmmm thats a good idea Tombstone. I got a few spots that some may not know about.

It would be great to set up a time for everyone to take a tour of the maps with everyone on teamspeak, and an admin switching maps when we are done with each one.

I'm sure most of us know about the spots on Pipeline and how to get on the roof of the center building in Overgrown. But there is a spot on Ambush that I just recently learned about. I'm sure other know even more.
