It's Time! Our first match is on the 8th....rules are here (http://www.bfcl.info/r-tf2-6v6mixed.html). We need 6 at least, they are willing to do 8. I've been invisible for a bit, but the server is up to date, and I have to put in the settings for the match as we are hosting. I'd suggest a practice/scrim on the 7th, and on the afternoon on the 8th...early.

I might get rid of beetlesmod and go completely vanilla for the competition...that way there'd be no trouble at all during play. Comments?

You Know i'm in.

FYI i'm not going to be around on the 7th. And I think we should have more then 1 { maybe 2 } days of practice. So how about The 5th, 6th, and 7th we practice.

I haven't played this game much, but I'm willing to jump in if we don't have more experienced players on hand...i know it's only a game and a bit of fun, but i'm pretty sure we'd like to win...

Experience is not a concern Sask. We need bodies. All for fun and frags. As for practices Maxx, I'll try to have the server set up tomorrow or Tues, and have at it. I'll be on as of Thursday or Friday night.

Count me in. Practice would be best for sure, but bodies and fun are more important to get this thing rolling in the right direction.

Great game tonight! Lost the first round 5-0, but rallied for a 2-1 loss in the second round. All good, and we'll have new strategies in the second game. Still for fun and good turnout, we had one extra, Goat and Crazy switched off for the second round. Attendees were as follows...

Mr Purple (as far as we know, though Christy is always welcome)
Tombstone
Pongo
Goat
Crazy
Hedgehog
Tort
and of course, Maxx.

Thanks to all who showed up, and next week at the same time, we'll be playing another round. We'll mix it up as we go of course!

Hi!
My boys are still yapping about how much fun they had playing with you guys tonight. I really hate that I missed it. Twice I've heard that "the best part is that we found a lot of great new friends to play with."

Sweet!

Come play anytime. I'm sure we'll be watching for you guys on your server as well. Looking forward to match #4.

Indeed - it was great fun. Your assault almost broke us a few times so maybe think about pushing a little bit harder in future. If you want we can try and set up a mid-week game for the subsequent maps if you think it'll help you.

Roll on week 4 when we get to play you guys again!

Well...my game was messed up just before the match started. When I rebooted, you guys had 1 or 2 extra players, so I never even bothered to log in...jumped over for some COD. I'm glad it was fun...do wish i was with ya! Next time...who knows, maybe mid-week as |TFR|root is suggesting...

I just realised how badly worded my post was. I meant to suggest if you guys want to practice against us in the weeks where you're playing someone else, we could look at setting it up. Failing that if a few of you want to drop by we'll do our best to switch people around so you're all on the same team.

Its hard to believe English is my native language sometimes. :)

Great time. Not a very promising start at 5-0 but we are quick learners (disproving not being able to teach an "old gamer" new tricks). I think you will see us stop by your server and try to sharpen our game as most of us are still relative newbs to TF2. Well at least I am...I know my team was getting me tired my asking how to do this or that during the match.

On a final note... I hate Spies!

I hear you. They're the most infuriating class in the game and we have some guys who excel at it.

lol...as frustrating as they are, they're just doing what they're supposed to do...and yes, they annoy the f!@#$#% hell out of me too! Kind of like spawn campers in COD or BF2 except you can't get a kit called spawn camper...

I for one had a really good time playing against the TFR group. They showed right a way they have an excellent sense of humor and gamesmanship. Then they proceeded to show us how to dominate a map. We learned from them and held the second round to a more respectable score. And no doubt they had some great spies working our defense.

We have room for improvement and I think we could learn some from them.

Sounds like it was fun! Nice rally in the second round guys.
