GET ARCA!!!

I am hoping more people get ARCA so we can do a season. It is Great racing with 100s of people online, with multiple servers, with 30+ people in them every night. It is the best racing game I have ever ran.
Here is a video from Talladega that Dave and I ran in. This is in a public server that we ran 3 wide for mulitple laps with people who are not necessarly that good. I know OSG can run even better than the people in this video. Of course there were accidents which is typical of public servers, but with good racers such as OSG members, there wont be any. Minus the accidents, this was probably the best and most exciting laps I ever ran at Talladega in any game.

im curious what your running the graphics on and what youve got for a video card because if there maxed in the video then arca doesnt have anything over VHR . also i ordered it last monday for me and A freind so if you guys want more drivers then we might be interested .

Great video Chester! I agree, this is the best racing sim I've ever run. I'll let Chester tell you his specs, but I'm pretty sure most of his settings are on medium or low. If your not running dual 8800 GT's your not going to run the settings on max in this sim. As far as VHR, I have personally never liked this mod. It was to much like NSR for me and a step backwards for realism. After you try ARCA, I would be surprised if you go back.

We had a blast last night guys!!! Checter and I raced several races and the cars and everything drives and handles very well. I am very impressed and cant wait to get going on this. I even seen at 1 time a 4wide for half the track and then the big one . But it can be done. Good racin and chester thanks for the fun teaming up on these tracks.

ok im gonna take your word for it sees where ive allready ordered it. was hoping to get it before the weekend but that didnt happen. im getting very excited hearing you guys talk about it. cant wait to try it.hope you guys start a league cause i would love to race with you guys again.im currently in a league with MRL but there are always some issues there and remembering racing with you guys , there no comparison.you guys just know how to run a league i guess.

Hey chuck. Yeah i have raced with MRL and you a couple of times in those open races. OSG has had great league races lately and has been solid since i joined this past summer.
As for my settings, i have a really old 5600 video card which i bought about 4 years ago. I run most settings on Medium and a couple on High. That video was in a Medium and High combintation. I can run with 30+ guys but it takes a while to load up but after I am in, I have rarely seen lag. That video had some lag problems but that was the server.

For those who already have it I would really like to get everyone toghter tonight and test out the server. We have had some trouble but I think we got everything worked out. We had 17 on the server on Fri at Iowa and it looks like it went fine. We can run several diff tracks and short races and see how it goes, hope to cya on the track.

total noob question here.. is drafting an issue w/ compter racing? by this i mean if you fall out of the draft will you be "hung out to dry" like "real" racing on superspeedways?

Guys I have been spending more time on the forums then on the track but the guys at The Sim Factory are really behind this product. They are always posting on the forums and fixing stuff.

Viper, I saw a server side patch for server crashes. Please go look at the "official fourms" at RSC and look for the post regarding dedicated servers.

The league management tools that have put out along with the Car Manager really makes this the best supported sim in the shortest amount of time that I have seen.

The cool thing is all the league tools work with rFactor with only a little tweaking. Be sure to see a complete redesign of the manager templates for our servers/leagues at the link below.

BTW...anyone looking to make even more of the ARCA sim should look at the Motec plugin for rFactor. RECON has it working in SCE for all info including tires and suspension. I had only ever used it for times and water/oil temperatures before. From what I read it works the same way in ARCA as it does in rFactor.
