ASR Patch UPDATE!
Written by ARCA Official
Wednesday, 23 April 2008
We are currently finalizing the first patch for ASR 08. Several new issues had come up that we had never seen in beta testing and we seem to have been able to remedy the controller, sound and some server issues. We also fixed a few functionality issues with the interface, added back in the drag & drop stack the field function, took the rollbar out that was displyed in our rearview improperly and have also added in the new Daytona International Speedway track and the physics which are extraordinary. Several other exe based changes have been made to fix the problems with fixed setups and much more.

The patch will be in a self installer and will auto-scan, add, delete and change all the proper files. No manual installing of files will be needed on the users part. The reason we took our time with this patch was that once we all switch to it the old version will not be able to join the lobby, so we wanted to make sure we did our very best to address every issue before patching. We would like to thank the community for pointing out some of the issues and their patience in awaiting for the patch. We are awaiting for a change to our exe from ISI that addresses some spectator scoring issues and we imagine we will see that in the next few days. From there you will be provided the patch for your software and a read me of what the patch included.

Thank you all again and we will have this out to you in the days to come.

PATCH STATUS - 05/07/08

Just a brief note to let everyone know we are still waiting on a couple of changes to final patch. Once these things are received and validated, we will be delivering it. I have also added a few more changes to the list directly above.

DO NOT CALL, EMAIL, POST or otherwise pester anyone of us or RSC about this patch status. We are working very hard to make this happen as soon as possible.
