Vote to change COD 4 server

Freak in the Creak and I would like to start a vote to change our main cod 4 server to a cod 4 mod server we have found the maps and they are awsome http://www.cod4-maps.com/main/index.php?option=com_remository&Itemid=0&func=select&id=6

I noticed alot of people are viewing this poll but not voting... please cast your vote... The truth is our sever just sets there without any one in it 90 % of the time and this Change might even bring in new players and members. We are not suggesting taking out all of the old maps, just add some new ones... the same maps over and over are making the game boring so to speak...and Freak and I will keep the maps rotated as to keep it interesting so the rest of you can just join in and play...we can put maps in the server and you can vote on which ones you like and dont like.....Some times Change is a good thing...

Why don't you just use the match server? Convert that to a mod server. There are a lot of clans and people who know our server for being a Hardcore server.

I agree with Maxxblood. Leave the main alone and use the match server as the mod server like we were before.

Whiskey, Tomb had started a lot of work on a mod server and the "guts" are still there for it. I don't think we need to use the match server much at this time and therefore, it could be shut off for now. Maybe the custom maps would work on the mod server, but I don't have a clue on how to implement them.

If the maps are that good I may actually be back to play some COD4. Whiskey I PM'd you about helping you get the already installed and modded server folder/files setup for running the custom maps the way you want.

I have a question. I have COD4 but never play it because I felt it was too deathmatchy run and gun. Is the mod stuff more tactical or just more intense BS? I have only been playing Vegas and Vegas 2 since February, because at times in a TDM game it can get real tactical. So I didn't vote, but posted a comment in the admin area.

I just got a pm from tombstone and he said he would help us get the other server set up to run new maps on he makes a valid point if one of the maps crashes the server we will still have the main cod 4 to fall back on for scrims and such so for those of you ready for some new cod 4 we will get this going soon unless there are some major objections ?

We are going to try and set it up this weekend Tombstone is going to lead the way...so give us some time to take care of the particulars and we will post when it is set up in the meantime if you guys would go to the link I posted at http://cod4-maps.com/main/index.php?option=com_remository&Itemid=99999999&func=select&id=6&orderby=4&page=2

and check out the maps and let us know which ones you think are good I have downloaded 14 or 15 of them just to get things started there are numorus pages of maps so please! pick your flavor.....

McFeely, from what I noticed in the ones i played, they are more like sniper maps. Depending on who's playing, they are also "run and gun" maps, but I think some of them have potential. The big thing is that they are something different from the normal maps we've been playing over and over. There's one where you actually die from radiation poison! It's worth checking out and judging for yourself...
