Due to lack of interest and support I cancelled the Vegas 2 server today. It will be effective June 17th. Have a good summer.

Sorry it didn't work out McFeely, I wanted to donate but never got a PM with the addy to send cash.. besides, I think we would need more than 2 to keep it going.
This past weekend, I had a brief affair with COD4 which I will probably revisit occasionally, but I still like the tactical nature of Vegas2 better, and will continue to play.
If we can get up enough people, there's nothing stopping us from going to SCE or one of those and challenging to a scrim. I think one of the things that might hold back Vegas2 as a prosperous OSG game is the fact that it's very easy for anyone to start their own TerroristHunt server and play in a small group. Because you get points toward rank, there's motivation to just go in and play those maps for those who care about ranks and such (I personally do not, and I actually like versus mode better... given the choice between playing versus with strangers or co-op with friends, I would go with friends, but I really think we can get 4-6 people together that want to take on other teams together if we can find some schedule overlap).
There has been a recent spotlight on COD4 lately with the new maps, I will check out the mod server at some point but I see getting more play hours long term out of Vegas2 and I definately have not put it down yet.
Plus I bailed on AoC recently which will give me more time for Vegas2.

It sucks that stats aren't stored server-side. I thought that was the case with COD4 too though?
