Request for Whiskey

Whiskey, I had mentioned it last night...and it sounded like it was possible, but could you put up links on where we can "pre" download the new maps? Maybe you have already? It REALLY sucked last night downloading, listening to you guys play, having the server disconnect, then starting all over again. It took me 7 tries to get that one map loaded....in fact, at one point, I had 30 seconds left, and the map ended so the server changed and I lost the download..argh...

Maybe it's too much of a pain in the ass to do...I don't know. If so, I'll just have to be patient and as we play the new maps, I'll get them all downloaded.

Great job on the server...that was a blast last night.

This is the main download site they are in our ftp but that would prolly take forever to download I download them the same way you all do I just get in my game and connect when no one is playing in the server it takes me anywear from 5 min to 12 min to download them that Y I do it early so I can play and not be downloading
this site will require you to register and I have been trying to get my own login for a couple of days I am using a borrowed one for the time being

K, sounds like letting it go during the day is the way to go....other than the server disconnects that I was getting last night. I'll give it a try tomorrow and see how it goes...or tonight when I get home.

As requested I have zipped up the usermaps and the file name is usermapsARCHIVE.rar you can download them from the link above they should be available by 6 am 06-14-08 for those of you who wish to predownload the maps need to unzip this folder in your C:\Program Files\Activision\Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare\usermaps this archive contains all the maps that are installed as of today however I do have a couple of new maps that will be getting installed shortly I am waiting on the volunteer admins to be availabe to show them how to do this...watch the cod 4 forum for news and updates on cod 4 modified maps server ....

issues currently being addressed is fall height modified to 20-18 this allows you to jump from points a little higher however the margin is small do this with caution

weapons such as the g3 m14 ak47 barrett 50 cal p 90 g36c have kill power modified to match amunition also the gernades and gernade launcher claymores and c 4 have kill power increased I noticed several times that I could walk away from claymore and gernade blast the settings were below normal...on all of these weapons...


contacting ace mod on night mod problem punkbuster kicks players with this mod turned on for a couple of diffent reason and bans as if player is using cheats...

I belive I have centralized the problem with people being kicked it is aparntly an issue with RCON I got kicked 3 times today and looked at the log its says I was kicked by my own RCON connection so I shut it down and have not been kicked since so best thing is to keep it shut down unless needing map change or other problems....I will contact ace mod about this issue...

Hey Whiskey, are the custom maps still fast streaming? Are the maps you are adding on the streaming server too cuz I don't recall any map download taking a full round to finish downloading.

Just asking because I thought it was starnge that Roo siad it was taking him so long to the map. Unless it was just simply a disconnect issue on his end.

yeah they are streaming it was a issue on his end.. from what I can tell...

for some reason Roo does have a slower download rate from the ftp server he can be connected and dl at 50 while others are at 450 at the same time I dont know what the issue is my dl is always at 79 but thats just my connection I must assume this has to do with the connections or path to the download server I will get the ip for him and he can trace it to see what is going on ....
