I know others have made posts about feeling like they're doing something wrong, not making shots and such, this is something different.

I swear I'm an artillery magnet. I've tried spawning away from the action, back at the main base, ect. and every round I seem to get more than my fair share of 3 second lives. I was really starting to get my numbers up after SF came out, then started playing the vanilla maps again and my numbers dropped again. Is there a good way to predict where a commander is going to hit ? I love the SF maps because there's no planes and the enemy arty is never very far away so it's easier to destroy. Maybe it's fate's way of telling me to play Spec Op.....

I also heard someone say you shouldn't go prone during arty, it makes a bigger target of you from above. Anyone know this for sure?

My weapon skills are improving, but I seem to get more and more arty/bomber deaths everytime I play.

Bad luck or is there some kind of timing thing with the spawns?

Welcome to the world of ground pounders.
1) Arty and Helos suk.
2) Asses the situation and figure out where to spawn. Re-spawning at a higly contested flag will put you in the A-zone. Maybe spawn at the nearby flag and approach the highly contested flag.
3) Arty frustration inspires us to C4 the arty for the whole evening.
4) Dont stand next to me when we play. You draw Arty.

Try to look up and find the center of the arty. Then stand where you think the center is and don't move, cause you won't diein the very center.

Playing commander will teach you this.
