For me, the 1.3xxx patch was downloaded automatically from Steam. The actual maps are apparently here:

If you have the patch but not the maps, the new maps will show up as "unknown" in the server browser if you haven't download the pack from above (about 7 mins DL over 3mbps DSL).

High stakes mode looks good in the video. Downloading the maps now so I can't comment on that yet.

Ok, played a little bit. Apparently you rank up from wherever you are automatically just by downloading the pack. The server browser is improved. High stakes mode feels much more realistic, when you take cover you can see a little bit behind you, but not everything, which encourages that you and your opponent peek out occasionally but does not enforce it (less kills out of nowhere from your opponent).. its much more like taking cover in reality.

There are 3 maps total. Calypso Casino is a remake of a vegas 1 favorite, -- possibly the best map in the game and you will only barely recognize it from Ravenshield. The other 2 maps are remakes of Murdertown and CQB training with creepy lighting, and they feel more atmospheric. It looks like they are bringing back some of the atmosphere from Ravenshield.

Only played versus, haven't tried terrorist hunt but they say the fruity spawn problems are all fixed.

This pack is definately worth the download, especially being free. I'm hoping to see more servers play high stakes mode, because I think it adds a new dynamic to the game.

At http://www.rainbowsixgame.com after entering date of birth, the video that auto-plays shows some of the new features and briefly shows the Calypso Casino map.

They fixed the A.C.E.S system, which will take any excess points you might have accumulated after completing the all the A.C.E.S before, and applies them toward the new system which will result in a rank boost for most folks. In my case it put me three ranks higher.

As I was playing I thought the graphics look a little better but wasn't sure if it was my imagination... apparently they did update the textures and lighting.

It's really turning out to be a nice game.
