Okay maybe it was rocking on the OSG COD4 server last night, but us Vegas players got into the High Stakes Versus mode for several hours. Me, Bucko, Nip and Domino played Versus Team Leader and got schooled for the first hour and a half. Then after we got the hang of it and we started giving some payback. I was ready to give up trying after getting my ass handed to me so quick. It is a mode that maybe on a locked server we all could try it. I know Nip got frustrated and bailed, but it does take practice. Team Leader is an escort mode that allows the team to spawn on the TL while escorting him to an extraction point. If the TL stays back and provides cover for his escorts they can advance him. It really is a good tactical mode. We had some vicious firefights on Import/Export, Theater and Junkyard. With communication and teamwork it could be a mode that we could kick some ass on. Oh but wait everyone is playing COD4 with nucleur bombs and everything.....forget it. Maybe it would be to hard for some.

McFeely's right.. jumping into a Team Leader game on High Stakes, especially if you go into a server will skilled players as we did, is going to be hard at first. This is even more true if you go in right after a Terrorist Hunt coop game, because the dynamics of the game change completely and it takes some time to adapt to the differences.
Part of the fun (and the key to playing well) is learning how to best exploit your own strengths and keep the other team from exploiting your weaknesses. If long range headshots aren't your forte, then stay near the leader and help defend him, communicate what's going on to teammates, etc. That's valuable to the team too. The longer you keep the Team Leader alive the better chance of winning (or better yet if you can get him to the extraction point).
