Hey all...I'm having trouble trying to get online. Am I correct in assuming that all I have to do is simply use my username from RB6V2 to log onto Ubisoft?

For some reason I can't log onto Ubisoft and when I try to "register" using SaskNewfie, it says it's already in use. I've tried my password retrieval but it says my email/password combo is invalid. I've tried the same username and password to play Rainbow 6 V2 online and it worked.

Of course, I can't simply contact Ubisoft without registering...I guess I could make up an account just to email them my question...

When you say log in, you mean to their forums, is that correct?

I found that I had to use a very old password that I created long ago (probably for R63:Ravenshield) to get onto their forums.

I am trying to run the game in multiplayer. In order to do so, I have to go to UBI.com and complete the process...unless i'm doing something I don't need to do.

When the game asks for an "online key" or something like that, where do you get that key? It won't let me punch in my cd key, so that's not it...thanks.

Yeah, as Crazy said double check the CD key.. I downloaded over Steam which delivers the key to you through a pop-up in Steam, but in the game I entered the same as the CD key and it worked, although confusing at first.

Also once you get in, note that the first options you see are quick-match and will take you into a server and do the matching for you. If it rapidly changes matches thats because its skipping around looking for matches. List Custom Matches is like a regular server browser. Direct Connect is where you enter an IP but I have not yet seen how I would see the IP of the server in game.

I'm hoping this is one area they will make some improvements in the patch.. however in terms of stability I'd say I have not yet seen a 1.0 version this good.

Well, i got it working for mulitplayer. First, inputting the key with "caps on" off allowed me to input the key. Second, I was typing my username in as SaskNewfie when it should've been sasknewfie...up and running now, that's what counts! Thanks for the suggestions!!
