I don't have it yet, I need to find out if I have to wait for Steam to push it down or if I should download it, but heres the details (see my comments in bold). Looks like they fixed the server browser, dropping between rounds, etc.

I forgot to comment the most important one:

"The host can now set the starting rank of all players in the match, in Advanced options, for player matches only."

This means we are not limited to ranked matches anymore.. We can create a server in player mode, unlock all weapons, and everyone is on even ground.. Plus I think anyone who launches a server has a nice UI for custom maps.

"In ranked matches, players can now play more than one match on the same host."

Does that mean we no longer get thrown out to the main menu after a match?

I believe so, that's how I read it.

I played a bit tonight with the new patch. I only tried one server, but i was booted back to the menu after the match. Perhaps the host stopped hosting?

One thing I like is now all of the servers are listed no matter the type of play. I never noticed if you could see the in progress games or not.

BTW, how do you add OSG tags?

I'm not sure, I don't have the patch yet, since I bought over Steam and it sent the last patch down I thought I would let it do the same (afraid I'll screw something up if I download it separately). I'll look into the clan tags and post an update when I get a chance to try it out. Could be under profile / edit maybe?

From what I've read, you need to hit the console command while connected to a server...which apparently is "`" next to the 1. For some reason I can't access my console through that key.

That's odd.. I still have 1.01 but I can bring down the console even from the main menu with the ~ key, not sure why it would be acting different for you.

I will patch up today and try it out. I like some of the fixes. WTF is triple-header support? Setting spawn times now mean more deathmatchy like games in Uprising. I guess I will now appear on the Scoreboard with my death count.

I also finally downloaded COD5 from Steam so I will be trying that out too.

3 monitors at once I guess. A lot of people were complaining about no widescreen support.

Is there a way to assign that key? Could it be my settings? I spent 2 hours last night goofing around trying to find out why I can't access the console to input that use_clan_tag command.

Only thing I can think of Sask is if you have non US-EN key mappings or other regional settings and its putting it on a different key? I saw some people talking about same problem in the original Far Cry game, and the trick was to add -DEVMODE after the .exe name in the desktop shortcut, who knows if that works in Far Cry 2 though.

Well Steam finally pushed down the patch (I think they have some sort of quality approval process that makes them push them down later than release).

My "~" key still brings down the console. If it still doesn't work for you Sask you might try all the non-alphanumeric keys to see if it is bound to a different one?

Done that...no luck! Oh well...I'm sure I'll survive...

Well, I reinstalled my game today to see if that would fix my problem...nope! I've asked the question to UBI and am waiting for a response from them...nothing yet.

Well I am still wondering if it has something to do with either your physical keyboard or the key settings in Windows itself with Canada vs US keyboard layouts. For example look at these and you'll see what I mean regarding the "~" key and why I keep looking in that direction:

Canadian keyboard layouts:

USA Layout:

http://www.goodtyping.com/teclatUS.htm

I know you said it works in other games but I'm just wondering if that's because the games are specifically designed to take a keystroke from whatever key is next to the 1 key. I doubt it's a game issue, although I'm pretty sure you could issue the "use_clan_tag" command from the command line somehow.

Mine's the US layout...ne pas la version francais...

Ok.. I was thinking there was a difference between Canadian and Canadian French layouts, but if you're sure everything is set to US then it can't be it.
Actually its easy enough to test that, if you just click Start>Run... and type notepad and you get a ` character when you hit that key without shift and a ~ with shift, then it's clearly not the keyboard layout.

Nope, that's all fine.
