Tonight was a particularly good night for Far Cry 2 -- we had five OSG'ers playing on a server we created on the fly, all of whom were on TS.. We don't have a dedicated server of course, we just create one as we go.. even non-dedicated servers run smoothly for all players which is a statement about the phenomenal networking code in this game.
Five people at once doesn't sound like a lot compared to some games, but since the limit is 8 per team, a team of five is a force to be reckoned and we had some seriously intense battles with some amazing teamwork / communication going on, and of course with that going on we did very well, winning most rounds we played against some formidable teams.
Thanks to everyone that showed up: Goat, Sask, Iceman, McFeely... and hope to do it again soon!

ya it was alot of fun fellas , looking forward to some more.
Yep we sure had a great time last night. Working together is the key to all of it. One team we played against had three real good snipers and they kept us busy capturing flags but if I remember right we did win that match? They were damn good though. UBI is still having minor issues with their main server but they are working on it continuously so hopefully they will have it fixed completely, soon? Would like to see a lot more people there for FARCRY2. I also enjoy CODWAW and join when I am needed or need a change so when you need a change guys this is the one to come to!

Another great turnout Sunday night! Pill-Doc, Iceman, Sask, NipNTuck, Rockyracer, Kilrkonman. Thanks guys.. I will post some tips in a separate thread since a lot of folks are just now finishing up the single player and starting to embark on multiplayer.. I took the opposite route, jumping straight into multiplayer without spending time on single player, so I will share some of the things I've learned along the way in multi.

I doubt I'll have time to play tonight Mac but almost definately tomorrow (Tues) night. After tomorrow I'm off until Jan 5th so I will be gaming a lot during that time.
Got my copy last night. I loaded it up and found that my drivers were out of date for this game. I will update my drivers, but just wanted to give a heads up.... im on!
