BF2 Project Reality now has a single player add on. Now you have three choices for your reality fix. Instead of jabbing your mouse into your arm, you have Multiplayer, Training, and now Single Player. Visit the home page and follow the links "PRSP" to download it. There is a core file and a couple of map pack files.

I saw this too. Not sure how much resoures it takes to host a pickup game of Coop but I saw where you can have up to 48 bot/player combos. Which could mean 6 of us vs 42 enemy bots. The PR guys claim the AI is pretty intelligent. You guys please post your impression of the SP game play and maps. I will do the same.
I can always try to host a pick game one night to see how the Coop works out.

This isnt a thorough eval. Played for 1 hour. myself and 8 bots vs 8 bots. My summary eval: Thmbs Up.
The maps are good for familiarization because the are identical to those in the multi-player servers. You get the opportunity to explore and find the vantage points and choke points.
The bots play reasonably well. Far superior to the bots in Joint Ops. They function as a squad and employ their specialty weapons as needed.
Examples: (1) Enemy granadier - I took up a defensive - fortified position. He switches from rifle to nade launcher and opens up.
(2) Friendly medic - revives and heals other bots.
(3) Patrol well. As they move, they pivot and look in all directions.
(4) Take cover and hide. go prone when needed. Pop-up-fire-drop. Crouch and fire behind cars and low walls.
I have not determined the conditions under which they "see" you. That is next on my list.
They will engage you if you fire at them, and will maneuver to close in on you.
What they dont do:
The Joint Ops bots would know where you were. Even through hills and walls. The BF2 bots dont do that.
I havent seen one climb a ladder, yet.
Got it and downloaded it...ready to go. Let me know when your on playing Pulv...will join you!!

Bot Vision, perception:
Bots will engage you if: (1) Your are within + or - 45 degrees of their pointing direction and less than 100 meters. (2) you engage them first and there is not a closer threat.
Bots dont climb ladders. I can get them to go up two rungs, but not to a roof top.
Bots will not spawn on you, if you are on a roof and a squad leader.
On a 64 bot map: EJOD Desert:
I set the Bot Difficulty to 90, as stated on the install web page:
bots use teamwork within vehicles. They will get a gunner when possible.
bots use anti armor weapons as much as they can.
bots were fighting bots - bots do not focus on the human player. They take flags, and progress through the map.
bots shoot to kill. If you expose yourself, they will kill you in three or less shots.
bots are susceptible to supression and weapon accuracies, just like the human player. They do not have an aiming advantage over humans.
My conclusion is that these bots play better than Pill-Doc. Make the recommended settings, per the Install Web Page, and you will enjoy the single player game. Single player is good weapons practice, and good for map familiarization. Download Single Player and GET SOME!!
