Hey guys...I've noticed lately that things in the gaming world here are slowing a bit. I'm sure it's probably due to the nice weather coming, bbq season, patio parties, etc. Some of it is probably due to fading interest in certain games.
I mentioned in a thread before that I thought it a good idea to monitor xfire and see if there are guys playing on other servers belonging to one of our friendly clans such as oWs, OSS, TLB, etc. and join in on any given evening.
I'd like to suggest communicating with these other clans and playing other games with them. I know TLB and oWs both have members who play Left 4 Dead; they have members who play Company of Heroes (I see guys like BlackFlyCanada playing this a lot); they have some who are anxiously waiting for the new patch for BF2; and they have some still playing COD4.
Nights like last night are fine when we have 8 guys playing, but it seems most nights you'll see 2 or 3 guys on playing on a random server.
What do you think about the idea of trying to co-ordinate some of our gaming nights to include other clans? If each of our clans have 3 or 4 guys interested in playing on a given night, this could keep things interesting. I don't mean trying to get WaW on a Thursday, COD4 on a Friday, Left4Dead on a Saturday...I wouldn't have time to keep pushing that. What I'm talking about is if Thursday night we have a few guys wanting to play BF2...why not drop a quick line in the other clans' forums and invite them to join us. Just a quick hello with server info and an invite. This may lead to other clans doing the same for us. I know I'd have more fun playing with people i'm familiar with...I'd get more satisfaction pouncing on Hedge that a total stranger in L4D!!
Just a thought...at least something to hold guys over until the next big game is released.
