Hey guys...I've noticed lately that things in the gaming world here are slowing a bit. I'm sure it's probably due to the nice weather coming, bbq season, patio parties, etc. Some of it is probably due to fading interest in certain games.

I mentioned in a thread before that I thought it a good idea to monitor xfire and see if there are guys playing on other servers belonging to one of our friendly clans such as oWs, OSS, TLB, etc. and join in on any given evening.

I'd like to suggest communicating with these other clans and playing other games with them. I know TLB and oWs both have members who play Left 4 Dead; they have members who play Company of Heroes (I see guys like BlackFlyCanada playing this a lot); they have some who are anxiously waiting for the new patch for BF2; and they have some still playing COD4.

Nights like last night are fine when we have 8 guys playing, but it seems most nights you'll see 2 or 3 guys on playing on a random server.

What do you think about the idea of trying to co-ordinate some of our gaming nights to include other clans? If each of our clans have 3 or 4 guys interested in playing on a given night, this could keep things interesting. I don't mean trying to get WaW on a Thursday, COD4 on a Friday, Left4Dead on a Saturday...I wouldn't have time to keep pushing that. What I'm talking about is if Thursday night we have a few guys wanting to play BF2...why not drop a quick line in the other clans' forums and invite them to join us. Just a quick hello with server info and an invite. This may lead to other clans doing the same for us. I know I'd have more fun playing with people i'm familiar with...I'd get more satisfaction pouncing on Hedge that a total stranger in L4D!!

Just a thought...at least something to hold guys over until the next big game is released.

I personally haven't been on much gaming because I just simply needed a break from it. I know for me I'm just plain tired of CoD5. I wasn't that fond of it to begin with and even with our server's variety you can only play it so much before needing a time out.

I hear you on playing with people I know. It's fun to give and get with all the banter on TS.

I think what has happened lately is we got fractured again by different games. I'm partly guilty of that bringing SWAT 4 in earlier this year and the CoD4 Mod Server. It offers variety which is good but can also lead to low participation because not everyone wants to play that particular game, style, or wanting to purchase yet another game that will get played for 3 weeks. I've recently dumped the CoD4 Mod server because of this and now we are just running stock CoD4 and CoD5 and the CoD5 Scrim/Ladder server when we need it.

I haven't been playing L4D as much as some of the other guys but it is a fun change but with the versus mode limiting to 8 on 8 it's not going to cut for a team the size of ours. I tried for a half hour to join the guys the other night and once a slot opened up I joined in only to start the match and get booted because it was full. I just said F-it and quit for the night.

I thought it was because of my off color remark about you being Louis. Off-color.........hee hee

We had other guys join in when we wanted to start. You just need to message us and we can boot those guys off. They will understand, I have been booted for their friends and it is common practice. Chester and pongo fled when you did and we played 6 vs 6 with 2 bots.

Like I said, got in then got booted, then my Steam client crashed immediately after so I just figured I'd call it a night. I just messed around on the net for awhile.
