BF2 Revival

I was talking with Pill the other day and we are thinking of reviving BF2. Just wanted to pass this on to let you guys know that you'll probably see OSG have a dedicated BF2 server in the near future.

Additionally, we will be running the latest official patch version 1.4.

Played some last night and it brought back some great memories of the team play that BF2 has. Can't wait to get everyone back on TS playing.

ya guys i thought that was the plan when we left cod 4 way back,i bought the game and noone played.anyway enough whining lol, ive got it also and would be more then willing to get in on it.have a couple of friends with it also who might play.if someone could post the patches you need would be great and mods we might play.

I'm tempted to uninstall every other game I have so I have no choice but to stick with BF2...

I have an idea, what if we all started over and created a new EA account with only our player name and try to rank up as we did in the beginning? We could add our tag in game instead of with our EA account new user name.

If you have already installed 1.5 you will need to uninstall the game and re-install and patch up to 1.4 OR roll back to a previous restore point if you have one.

Aw now that is the BF2 I remember constant patches, and glitches; those were the good times ;)

CaptCoolioNo constant patches. 1.4 takes care of everything. Just one patch and some guys jumped early on 1.5 beta which is fine but our hosting company does not support 1.5 beta so that's why we're not running it.

I must say it's been alot of fun getting back to playing BF2...one of the best team play games there is and that's what I missed about it.

I am getting my old BF2 legs back. I had fun on Sunday night dropping cartillary on Lightstrike and Ninja and owning them with my shotgun. Hopefully we can do again soon. Pill and Parasite pulled the plug early. I think Pill was pissed that I was owning him...........again. Lots of shiite talking going on, mostly from me. It was like the good old days. Kudos to the monkey or monkeys who brought this game back. Where the "F" has Coolio been? Cowering in the corner afraid of the big bad Punisher I bet.

I have been around playing COD 5 Coop, Vegas 2, L4D, I miss you guys but with the time change I am sleeping before you guys come on. Sorry. I like the fact Vegas 2, L4D Graw has no bunny hop dolphin diving , see through building hacks POS's. Plus after the recent crash I would have to reinstall and Patch.

Maybe I will reinstall the game and show Punisher the true meaning of ass kicking. And hear Punisher cry like a school girl when he is killed. :) LOL Take care guys.

Hey, no problem...I had to run anyway. I heard the door open upstairs and sure enough, my 4 year old son decided to go help my neighbour with yard work! You can thank Ninja and Pill-Doc for pushing bf2 again. I noticed on your site a couple people shouting BF2, so I figured I'd share our server info. Looks like I may have to try and stay up past my bedtime tonight to get a map or two in!
