I am downloading it right now. You can go option 1 on there site and buy online and download a version thats ready to go this is what i did. Or you can download the game and pay for an unlock code through the game or you can use pay pal and it takes 2 days.

Hey and what do u know there download worked flawless not like some other company we all know off. I will post later my intial reaction to the game and will try out some mods also.

well i like it better then the nascar sim game. Sim racing just isnt my thing as in i sux at it. If i got to choose between this and NSR id say Rfactor. I have to turn on all the little helpers as in steering help brake help auto shift because with out it i could not even stay on the track. I tried the formula 1 part of the game they left me standing there like they had nitrous boost going the whole time. Grapchis are nice and sound is also good and it runs very smooth for me.



I like the arcade stlye racing more fun a lot easyer and a whole lot less techy garage stuff to play with. So Need 4 speed or midnight club or motocross madness are my games that i enjoy racing.

ok this mod is a lot easyer for drivers like my self. It is much more forgiving therefore easyer for me however i still came in last place when i played aginst AI.
One thing i thought was strange when the race started we were all stoped like formula 1 style this is not good for nascar as in 1st gear is a bit slipery. 1 race i could even get going foward just spinin wheels. There is no pit crew to talk to you and tell you things like ur running hot need fuel etc nor is there a pace car.

There seem to be no default skins for the mod like they only painted a few with basic colors the rest are grey. So here is a link to a complete set of 2006 nextel cup cars. http://www.rfstockcars.com/index.php?name=CmodsDownload&file=index&req=getit&lid=199

"This is a complete carset for all of the 2006 Nextel cup cars. It will replace all the default skins with these. Just extract to Gamedata/Evolution folder. It will not mess with any skins you have in the "skins" folder, just the default ones. I did not include the RC cars, or the Ford SS cars. The RC were left out to keep the dl size down, and the SS Fusion should be out soon and will require new skins. Credit goes to Briand, Abuchl, and Hog54 for all of the skins. I just did all the dirty work of converting them over to SCE. Enjoy!" DANGER when unziping skins be carefull when using winrar you need to click on the update files only button and the skip existing files button otherwise it changes everything and replaces the original folders/cars ect which can cause DDS error which equals reinstall mod and skins. :(

The evo stock car mod is either buggy as shit or it just plain suxs not sure which it has me so angry i want to throw something. :| the rolling start is just a seting in menu You even get a pace car however when you do finally start the car leaps to the right like u have no control I have found that if you hit space bar to skip formation lap it dosent leap so bad at race start. If you spin out durning a race forget it i could not get out of first gear I played around with this a lot not sure what the prob is.Its like theres a rev limiter on all of a sudden. I quailfied pole i didnt even finish 1 lap. Oh and there are no paints for default cars i mean none all grey Woot nice mod there. The skin pack gives you some colors but you still end up with grey cars on the track. I really dont like the grey cars thing that really suxs i mean why have a nice graphics card if all the cars are grey. The starting bit is a little wierd too and i dont really like or understanr the bit anout how after 1 spin out then i cant get out of first gear the car just refused to shift. I am willing but i dont have the patiance or the intrest in nascar top figure this out. I quess that leaves you TombStone.

Keep in mind this last bit was only about Stock Car Evo mod not Rfactor.
For a sim race game Rfactor is pretty good there are some bells and whistles missing but o well.
As in no after race movies it just sits there untill u exit out. There is no pre race movie or crowds shouting no gentleman start your engines just racing. No visble pit crew your tires just magily change.
What i do like about Rfactor is that it can be made easy for some one like me to drive and compete after turning on all driver aids i can stay on he track and am learning how to slow down for that turn :) can also turn off vechile damage fuel and tire ware for arcade like play.


P.S. If you havent figured out by know i cant spell for shit and i dont care :D

I just played through a season of Rfactor open wheel (formula1) and i liked it. :D
You have to start out with a trainer car but it is still fun cause thats what every one has at first and i know i needed to start out slow. Dont play single races with out first buying a new car which you cant do untill u earn some money. The single race cars will blow your doors off as in they arent using trainers so play through the season to earn some money. I am going to to some single races with the new Formula 1car for a bit (need more money for the next season :( ) then i will try sports car style season for a bit you get 3 different cars there starting with a yugo class then the BMW class then the V8 balls out class. Yes i do better with the damn yugo, kicks rock and walks away muttering under breath.

great posts Plat. You are really giving rFactor a good run thru the grinder. I am glad that it appears to be as moddable as advertised. I am sure there are some bugs with some of the stuff at this point. I hope to see more posts from you and PiLL about the strengths and weaknesses of it.

I am still messing around with NSR...more painting than racing though. :D

This stock car mod seems very nice i was actually able to play through a track and all the cars had some kind of paint sceme they werent real life but it didnt bother me. There dosent seem to be a single player season though but o well. For online play with OSS if you want stock car id say this is it.

The stock car mod needs to be installed to a different folder i will try tomorow its 2 am i should be asleep.

here is fix for NAt stock car mod Due to the fact that it comes in form of beta patch from rFactor it will screw up other mods like the buggy and super V8mod.
Simple fix for any of the beta releases that you want to try out, or test, but don't want to screw anything up. Copy your entire Rfactor directory and paste it back into Program Files and call it "Rfactor Mod" or something. Takes up hard drive space, but doesn't risk screwing up other mods.

I stayed up way to late and made my wife a bit angry testing all these mods out so enjoy I know i did :D

National stock car mod as far as stock car racing goes this gets 5 out of 5 stars.
All the cars are painted all be it not nascar but i think i know some one who can fix that prob Tomb? They are easyer to handle not so quick to spin out of control. When i did a single player race the AI cars actually wrecked once which caused a full course yellow and then they all pited too there was only 2 laps left so i won but heyi needed the help.

Buggy car off road umm 2 out of 5 this is a silly mod only for fun the buggys are more like monster trucks gone bad very bouncy the 1 track is nothing pretty and it dosent fell like an off road race. Game engine is set for on road raceing not high flying off road action if thats what you want check out 4X4 Evo good game..

H6V8 super cars 5 out of 5 very nice collection of cars. They handle great very fast more arcade like. there are 3 different versions for H6 i prefer http://www.ausorc.com/user/rFactor_S...Mod%20v3.0.exe

Porsche Cup 4 out 5 stars good looking cars handling is realistic has single season also.


touring car series with 2000cc engines Tc2000 4 out of 5 again nice collection of cars and also has single season option. There is a goof up on the gear ratio you must fix in game in the garage section on the gears tab before you can race. the AI cars will be fine u only need to fix yours.

McLaren F1 mod 3 out of 5 stars lots of differnt paint schemes i dont think there is a single season to race and i thought the cars handled realistic but i think they are in real life faster then they were in the game.
