Just Downloaded the Demo of Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter.

So far I am relatively impressed with the game despite the fact that after months of playing BF2 I am having a hard time learning new keyboard functions :(

For those who enjoy the squad/team play of Raven Shield I think you are going to enjoy this one.

I heard it's really good.

I played the demo last week. It can get tedious with all of the squad commands you have to make. Over all the graphics were awesome and the new physics engine is better than Half-Life 2. I am going to wait and see how the multiplayer is. If it is anything like RS, I am in.

McFeely I would have to agree. Nothing is worse then having to tell the other three squad members to move or cover you when getting shot at. Last night while playing I commanded a guy to cover me and he replied with No Way Sir.....wtf who's calling the shots  I should have shot him myself :D

That is where I think the multiplayer game should be better. You can concentrate on what you are doing and let others concentrate on what they need to do. Gonna check to see if it is in stores today

Describe the multiplayer to me, is it 8vs8 or what? Do you have to play against AI's or can you play against each other?

Guys it was released yesterday but I haven't picked it up yet as Best Buy doesn't get it until the day after it is released and I have coupons to purchase it free so I WILL wait or get my ass kicked by the chief financial officer of this household and besides why not if it's free?

Pill....I am not 100% sure on the details of the multiplayer options. I do know that it will allow players to play co-op on single player missions but as far as a free-for-all against human opponents I don't know. As I am sure you are aware games like this do not allow human opponents in many of the missions because the lives of hostages are usually the goal! Also multiplayer games like Counter-Strike are, in my opinion, lame as they have no goals (like capture/protect flags or strategic places)

The Ubi site just says this:
Top-notch multiplayer experience: Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter" returns to deliver industry-leading multiplayer and cooperative gameplay for one of the hottest online franchises.

The last statement "online franchises" leaves me a bit nervous. I hope they are not going the way of World of Warcraft and expecting to charge admission to play......:( . Hamachi may prove usefull yet :D

I would appreciate if someone who owns the game could fill us in on the details

4-5 player CoOp (still believe this is too small but I realize that the maps are geared for this number)

32 players Adversarial (16v16)

Well I tried to play multi player tonight with Psychodad but I couldn't get in the damn server thanks to GameSpy and their damn nicknames and passwords and not knowing how to count. They kept telling me my user name was to long and couldn't be over 30 charcters (it was 16) and my password was over 30 charcaters (it was 16) and then my e-mail was invalid because it was to long, it was over 30 charcters. I got so damn mad and frustrated that I had to get out of there before I had a stroke. I will write them another real nast gram tomorrow but now tionight because I left my asbestos gloves in the garage and didn't want to go getn them. That's the way it goes sometimes But why the hell does it have to go that way all the time?????????? Damn, ASSHOLES!!!!!!!

Goat is always ranting...but he's dead on with this one. Fortunately, there is a patch out now that is supposed to fix this problem. I think it's because when entering name and PW, you must TAB (not enter) to fields, then TAB untill no selection is lit, then login. Very confusing, but the patch is supposed to fix this.

The gameplay is very immersive. Poke your head aroung the corner, and bullets start whizzing by. The sounds and effects are awesome. Walk up to anything and blow it up...mailbox....car (flatten tires too)...anything.

The coop limit sucks, but I'll bet someone cracks that one. I've heard that UBI may be upping the limit themselvs.

When I was modding for Ghost Recon 1, this site was great to me, and is always a great reference gor GR.

I have had Ghost Recon (GRAW) for about a week now and have been playing the single player mode. I find this game to be "challenging" to say the least. It is a definite switch from the BF2 run and gun attitude. If you try the rambo approach you will be re-loading the mission a lot :( (trust me).

I am looking forward to a little multiplayer co-op with OSS guys, That is once my internet at home is up and running again  It should be fixed Friday (May 19) so I hope to be back on then
