Anyone else been having problems (slowness, server too busy messages) with the forums over the last week or so? Happens for me regardless of browser.

Bucko, let me know the issue and I'll have someone look into it. I don't browse through the forums often but I do catch up on the latest posts and I've had no issues.

I mentioned the forum mod because I'm aware of a (vbulletin) mod that can randomly give users grief on a per-user basis, so I thought someone might be having some fun goofing on my account here, but maybe not.

The symptoms I'm seeing are very similar to the functionality of that mod.. sometimes server too busy, sometimes a random redirect. Here is a link to the mod http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showthread.php?t=165961

I hope my "theory" here doesn't sound like an accusation.. not sure exactly who has control over mods here on the forum and I assume if anyone ever set my account up to be subject to this it was in the spirit of a prank... but more importantly is the issue of whether anyone knows if this is the case or not. Because, if there has been some sort of security breach to the server running vBulletin that has just randomly picked my account to apply this mod, it is definately something to look into because it means someone outside of OSG has access to the admin CP and could potentially lock out even OSG admins or run this "semi-malicious" mod against them.

I haven't posted anything recently but browsing was a little slow and sometimes I ahd to reload the page. Hope it's nothing serious on the server side.

Looks like the end of an era for me :) The problems are bad enough (and apparently only affecting my login) that attempting to post is not worthwhile, so I guess that concludes Bucko's stay on OSG forums.

Shame too, because I REALLY had a lot to say in response to pulver in the Usama thread :)

Actually I'm glad you couldn't post on the Usama thread, I've really had enough of the lunatic fringe element as it is. :) I guess since you're done with us on the forums here, I'll be looking for you on Coast to Coast AM with George Norry. :)
