View Full Version : What does your nickname mean?
SaskNewfie
07-16-2006, 05:56 PM
Yeah, I must be bored...I am just curious about some nicknames I see on this server and how you guys came up with them.
For example: mine...the Sask is due to the fact that I was living in Saskatchewan at the time I registered.
The Newfie part is because I was born in Newfoundland and people call Newfoundlanders "Newfies"...thus: SaskNewfie!
I'm sure my fellow Canadians already knew that one, but some of our southern neighbors might not.

PiLL-Doc...I'm a Pharmacist and I enjoy pushing pills........................legally!
LIGHTSTRIKE

I'm an electrician so the "LIGHT" is part of that and the "STRIKE" was just an add on. thus "LIGHTSTRIKE"
Pongo647

Pongo's an old name for Infantry, and 647's the code for Water/Fuels/Environment tech. There ya go...
Well It's this way. Once upon a time, My two sisters came here to FL to visit me and my wife and they brought a little ceramic wall placque which stated on it "In This House There Lives One Beautiful Person And One Old Goat" and guess who got stuck with the Old Goat nickname which I personally love! Of course my sisters haven't visited since then and that was 15 years ago! LOLOLOL! And no I don't hold grudges unless you are pointing loaded weapons at me meaning it or not! But that's another story!

lmao!! The reason I thought of asking this question is because I was watching Doom last night, and one of the characters was Goat...wasn't sure if you had a fetish with movies starring "the Rock" or something...lol.
When I started playing DF2 many years ago, I was playing with Morgan, who is my neighbor. We had to make up names so we came up with Capt. Morgan and Capt. Kangaroo......it has been cut down to just Roo.....not sure when, why or how, but it happened.

errrrr.............................now how can I put this? :-D Actually, the Iowa bit is obvious but in this household everyone is known as The Mom, The Girl, The Boy etc and I became "The Brit". I even have a keyring with that inscribed on it. When my wifes co-workers are asking about me they always say 'The Brit' and we even get Xmas cards addressed to 'Morey and The Brit'

As all of you know from experience you go through some names trying to find something unique for playing on-line games, joining forums ect.
As I am not very creative or fast at it all the "good" ones always seem to have been taken. So after thinking long and not all that hard and listening to one of my favorite cover bands, I borrowed the name of the lead singer for Dread Zeppelin, with his permission of course. The other one I have used belongs to his lead guitarist, "Buttboy", and I'll tell you that gets some attention.
Ninja
07-17-2006, 04:00 AM
I'd like to say my name has some real deep meaning but it doesn't :D It's just something that a friend and I came up with will playing BF2 one night. We were thinking up interesting names and came up with Ninja Assassin. From there we just decided to take the name and add numbers to it. So yes there is a NinjaAssassin1 running around out there somewhere. :)

Like Ninja.....my nickname has no real deep meaning...I used to always use SPKR_BLDR as a nickname due to my loudspeaker design and building hobby but somehow that name just didn't sound errrr Aggressive :D
sargeant slaughter just stuck for some reason the @ symbol has no meaning other than all other versions were already being used in Game Spy

When my oldest son got me hooked on Delta Force 2, I felt compelled to bring the navy into an army game with a navy related character to which, I had some connection. Being a US Navy retired officer, and a Master Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technician I have blown up (pulverized) something every day. On my first cruise in the U.S. Navy, I saw a hilarious movie titled, “Mr. Roberts”. Ensign Pulver is a character in that film who would FUBAR just about everything he touched. In that movie, there was a lot of contention around a palm tree and the “Royal Order of the Palm Tree”. I earned the Kuwait Liberation Medal (Saudi Arabia) which has a palm tree on it.

when i first started playing online games it was manily with a frined and his call sign was rusted_corpse. So i was allways choosing names like rust remover and sos pad. We usally played as a team though so i decided to have _Corpse at the end of my name and the most off the wall thing i could think of to go in front of that was gods wonderfully confused creature the Platypus thus the Platypus_Corpse was born.

I mean I had a bag of jelly belly sitting on my desk when he was like hey check this out. I had to think of a name and up until about 3 years ago granted I've had the name for 6 years now I did not understand why people hated my name. HedgeHog_jr
07-17-2006, 05:50 PM
Like many other there is no real meaning to my nickname! I have been gaming with the |OSS| for a week now, it has been a blast so far, thanks guys!
Anyways, the original HedgeHog is no other than the porn star "Ron Jeremy", now comic performer. I always got a kick out of it that people called him the HedgeHog. Of course when I tried to make this my nickname it was already taken, probbly some big "Sonic" fan. I had to add _jr at the end, JR, are my initials.
The funniest thing I have ever heard Ron Jeremy say was "I'm not the most attractive man in the world, but out of all the women I have made movies with. I like to think that one of them actually enjoyed it!"
I appoligize to any if I have offended you because of my relation to the porn industry! Please don't kick me out I just started!
Pulver/Goat...was that movie black and white? and did it have sound? :)
Hedge,
LOL, yours was interesting.
I think Mountaineer was in a couple of movies with him in his early days.
Mine is just a spinoff from my last name. Used to be called tackleberry when I was in the Marines, then when I started in law enforcement and got in a blue uniform it became blueberry, and finally shortened to blue.
I am called the same at work as I am online with you guys.

Me, well its easy. Palmer is my last name, and most of my friends call me by my last name, however. One day, someone just blurted out, Hey Napalm, and the name stuck. I also tend to have an affinity towards flamethrowers and other fiery weapons. 006 stems from my love of James Bond and playing Goldeneye on the N64. Alec Trevelyan the character I always played on Goldeneye, became notorious, because I murdered my friends so many times on that game. Also I tend to always play OPFOR (Opposing Force) aka the Bay Guy, so 006 fits instead of 007. Plus, I didnt want to be like everyone else having a 007 tag. So thats my nick.

07-17-2006, 11:33 PM
Sask...look what u started. Probably one of the best threads in a loooong time. Someone needs to make this a Sticky at the top of this forum.
As far as my nick goes...or as my GF likes to say, "you and your friends with fake names"...it really has nothing to do with pizza. It also is not related to tombstones marking grave sites, although since I picked up the handle 8+ years ago I have started a collection of replica tombstones, mostly celtic in design. It really comes from the movie about the town and the gunfight at the O.K. Corral. The movies story (historically accurate or not), it's tag line "Justice is coming", plus all the great quotable lines made the movie an all time favorite. Also, in RL I carry the same badge, well one that is historically descended from the one worn by the Earp boys in the movie, and lock up bad guys.
Let's keep this thread rolling.

It goes again to me always playing the bad guy. Whether its Cobra, The Galactic Empire or the Brotherhood of Nod. That is who I am. Command & Conquer is one of my favorite games of all time, and Kane and Nod are just too cool.
Punisher
07-18-2006, 09:57 AM
Well I am finally back on dry land and I wondered into this post great post. Well here is mine. While trying to register with game spy or whatever (Rainbow 6) I oculdn't find anything that somebody didn't already have (lack of creativity). I picked SOGKILLER, SOG from USMS Special Operations Group, a unit that I am in. Killer, well that seemed aggressive. When I joined OSS (Joint Operations) a member had SOG, Soldier of God. I didn't want to offend (stop laughing) so I changed my name. I liked the movie "The Punisher" and with my job I can punish my clients and co-workers alike.
Squad57
07-18-2006, 10:35 AM
This is interesting stuff.
My name is pieced together from bits of my life. The "Squad" part comes from the fact that I am a Paramedic Specialist and our ambulances are referred to as squads. The "57" was the number on my stock car when I used to race dirt track. There becomes the Squad57 that actually started in DF2 and DFLW and has continued on to current games.

Well guys/ladies, It is the Capt here, I really do not have any reasons to the handle. I liked some of Coolio's music and when I had to pick a name for gaming, I wanted to add some military meaning so I added the Capt. to the Coolio. It really has nothing to do with anything, but it has stuck, since all the good names were taken.
I would like to say nice post, I really enjoyed all the explinations of the names, it puts a nice spin on things.
And by the way I have not been on since I am on vacation, and approx. 1400 miles from my PC, I will be back in 1.5 weeks and look forward to gaming with all you geeks then. Having an awsome vacation, and slaughter having a few brews in your absence. Have fun guys and stay out of the crosshairs.

Chairborne
07-19-2006, 11:23 PM
PC crapped out ~ but made it back in time for this post.
Chairborne has been my name ever since I started gaming. It's supposed to be a tribute to my tank driver history. I was in the only tank unit stationed at Ft Benning GA ~ you know the home of the infantry, airborne school, ranger school, etc.
Infantry and Armor have a health rivalry. Even tho we were greatly out numbered we would mock the common ranger greeting "Airborne!" by shouting "Chairborne!" Why walk when you can ride I always say.
It works well to substitute chairborne for any airborne in a cadence. Sing it with me: " I wanna be a chairborne tanker, I wanna live the life of danger, etc, etc "
On a serious note I didn't realize that people might not pick this up. I've been asked a few times if I'm in a wheelchair.
And NO pulver - it is not chair-porn!
Ps. Do you know what tankers call infantry????

...la la la more insults la la la ...
I wanna be an EOD, I wanna swim the deep blue sea

I posted it in our thread (link above), but here is a cut and paste...it is pretty boring LOL :
I think just about everyone knows mine, but just for S & G's : it was BaltimoreCoPD for Baltimore County Police Department. Everyone either called me Baltimore or Balti for short....so it is much easier to use Balti. Everytime I had to use a different name for gaming, I had no creative thinking, so I typed in BaltimoreCoPD one time and just kept using it. Pretty boring, but useful.

My name is almost ten or twelve now, been using it ever since I started gaming on a computer. Man that was back in the day of the 486 SX 33. Wow that was a while ago, I remember having to figure out DOS on my own because my buddy wouldn't show me, guess he thought it was funny. Well on every player account he would make for a game, he used the name Raptor, and I was thinkin thats pretty cool, I need somethin creative like that.
I can remember sitting down one day and watchin this old cartoon, with the Song, "Blackfly the little blackfly, always the Blackfly pickin my bones...." And thats how I came up with it. No one really seemed to use it which is good. The "Canada" came much later I might add, started when I went online for the first time, Wanted to add somethin extra ya know, and I am pretty sure you can gather where that come from. :)

Well here goes...If you think it's self explanatory...it kinda is! LOL
The first online gaming I ever did was with some guys from work who told me they played a game called "Rainbow Six: Rogue Spear" every Tuesday night. So I picked it up, along with the old Microsoft Sidewinder Voice software, and I was hooked. My name at the start was "Fresh Meat", but after a couple of weeks I was kicking all their asses, so they said I had to change it.
I loved the show "Married With Children", and my wife and I had just had our first son, and I remembered Al Bundy's favorite TV show was "Psycho Dad", so that fit like a glove! Plus the Psycho Dad theme song was perfect:
Who's that ridin' into the sun?
Who's the man with an itchy gun?
Who's the man who kills for fun?
Psycho Dad, Psycho Dad
He's quick with a gun, but he loves his son
Killed his wife 'cause she weighed a ton
He's Psycho Dad!

Well, back in the DF2 days and before I joined OSS, I was know as UTFanInPA and then Doug the Sniper. I am origanally from Tennessee but moved to PA. I am not a bandwagon jumper and am still faithful to good old Rocky Top. But when I joined OSS I could not use it because for some reason or other, I could not put the OSS tag at the end of Doug the Sniper. I think it was because it took up too much space. I tried everything I could think of to keep my original name but was unsuccessful. I then tried playing around with the Doug the Sniper nickname and came up with SniperDoug. My real name is Doug and I like sniping in DF2

I tried to cut and paste but for some reason the link that Balti put up didn't work.
My name started out as Huemac (we-moc). That's my middle name, and I kind of figured that no one else would be using it. I was right, but it also proved too hard for a lot of people to pronounce. One night when I was on at ERS (old clan), my brother joined me and we were all kind of BS'ing. We were telling stories about how people always mispronounce my name and say it all kinds of ways.
Hue-mock, Way-moc, Way-mac. Then people started making rhymes.
From Way-mac came Shopvac.
It got the biggest laugh, and that's what I was called from that day on. It's a good thing that I ended up liking it, and it fits pretty well.
That's my story.

OK that makes a lot more sense (I didn't understand how parasite could be anti-Spanish).
Funny thing is, I like Mind of Mencia, and so when I decided that the coffee at my internship tasted like rotting garbage water, and I would need a travel mug to bring my Joe from work, I HAD to go out and get a Beaner's Coffee travel mug. I'm so adamant about it that when my first one was stolen, I went back and bought another one.
P.S. I'm a first generation American. My parents are both from Mexico, so I feel like I can get away with having the Beaner's mug.

Honestly I never meant to offend anyone with the name but considering the history of that name it probably was a good thing. I remember when I played CoD for a short time and this lady literally wanted to kill me because it offended her. She left the game I got banned and in the end she came to the forums I was on to apologize.
Also during the immigration protest I joined a BF2 public EA server within 5 mins of playing I was banned for name violation for Beaner|OSS|. Move on to another server I'm being harassed about do I have my green card yet.
It's good though because now I don't have to read all the stupid bean jokes I can concentraite more on killing them :)

It means "With Out Papers" for you young tadpoles. An illegal immigant does not have immigration papers. My father fought in WW2, was decorated for his actions during The Battle Of The Bulge, fought his way from Bastonge to Berlin (84th Inf Div). So I had pride in my last name. After the ensuing fight, I never heard WOP again. I was suspended for a day. That suspension almost kept me out of the naval academy. I thought the word had died out.....until 34 years later, during a high school Lacrosse game, my son makes a good play and some punk on the other team called my 18yr old son a fu****g WOP. My son walks over to the sideline, and into the punk's face, yells "My grandfather fought in world war 2, my father fought in desert storm, and you can go f** yourself. He decks him with a upper cut. Both benches emptied. After the riot, they were penalized for unsportmanlike conduct. As he walked to the penalty box, I yelled, "Thats my boy! I have the papers!" People ask me if my name is Italian, I say no, its American.
Yeah, thats right Chairborne, my father was Army. The Navy gene skipped a generation.
I think "WOP" was re-born with all the illegal immigration hub-bub.

Well...I've been gone so I missed this thread.....
Back in my younger days I was a pretty good surfer. During my summers and weekends I used to work down at Waikiki beach on the island of Oahu (Hawaii). Heenalu is Hawaiian for "Rider of waves".
Very Cool Heenalu. My name is in reference to military jargon...........Its a thread on your uniform. Usually showing its ugly head at the worst times(during inspection) which in the Marine Corps means your on someones shitlist (exactly where you dont want to be).
So I thought to myself that is the kind of gamer (FPS) I would like to be.
1)Shows up at the worst time
2)Lends himself to someone's shitlist......aka...... Tough to beat.
Not very creative but Ive like it thus far...
Heenalu: I quoted you because most of my time spent in the fleet was while stationed at MCAS Kaneohe Bay. I've spent many days in Waikiki as well as Kailua, Lulanai (first apt after wedding) and so on............Not sure if I am spelling it correctly but

Oh yeah ---
And you can go ahead an come clean Roo. Everyone knows you earned that name with all your bunny hoping.
Saw Monkey.
Man good question. i find everyone's explanation on how they got their name hilarious. Good stuff. My name Tranzen actually was a second choice. My first gaming name and the one i have always used was .::Rage::. I chose this name, when asked to create an Unreal tournament name back in the days, while listening to Rage against the Machine.
When i picked up BF2, Rage was already taken. So, i was sitting there thinking something with a T would be cool... so I started sounding out the name... Ta... Tr..... Tra...Tran... Z... Za... Zeee.. Trrraaanzzze... Trrranzenn...
Finally finished that odd moment off with Tranzen. Which.. sounded like always moving forward. To Transend... so I kept it.. and here we are:)

Hello gentlemen,
I think this post is a good place to introduce myself, and sure explain why "Maggott".
To know more about me, just click on my signature banner, it is an active link to my webpage...
So, why "Maggott" ?
Did you know the "dirty dozen" movie ?
I am sure you do.
So, I was looking at that good "old" film when I was said to look like Archer Maggott (Telly Savalas) for joking.
And so Maggott was !
See you gentlemen,
Cordialy,
Maggott.
PS: apologize for my middling english.
And get ready for the worst english accent (french) you ever heard on TeamSpeak ! ;)

Bucko
05-09-2008, 08:27 PM
Hey guys,
Well I'm the new guy and have not yet gotten a chance to meet many of you, so this thread is a good starting point.
As far as the history of Bucko as my moniker --- back around '95 or '96, the days of T.E.N. (one of the first services to offer playing FPS over the Net) and Duke Nukem 3D, I went by the name "Buttawipo"....this was just a reference to a Beavis n Butthead episode in which they were making fun of Joey Buttafuoco. Yeah, I know .... seems kinda fruity, but at the time I thought it was funny or for whatever reason that's just the name I chose back then. It was further solidified the first time I phoned T.E.N. for some tech support, and the techie said "ok, what's your username?" and I said "Buttawipo" and he started laughing so hard I think he shat his chair...I, in turn, thought that was funny, and so we're both there on the phone laughing our asses off over the stupidity of my name and we're not getting anything done.
Over time of course, the name Buttawipo became a little passe, and as many people had not seen the BnB episode in question and did not understand the reference, it occurred to me that most people probably figured the name meant that I was some sort of ass-wipe. I will neither confirm nor deny. :)
I experimented with a bunch of different names, and started going by "MoneyShot Bucko" in most of the games I was playing. I started using this name a lot in summer of '99 when Counterstrike first came out as a mod for HL1... That was the first (somewhat) tactical FPS game I'd ever played and was instantly addicted. The "MoneyShot" was a reference to the fact I was getting a lot of headshots relative to others who were also just learning the game. The "Bucko" part was put in just because I could, I think it was meant as sort of a subliminal taunt originally (if you are old enough to remember old episodes of Happy Days where Richie Cunningham would call people "Bucko" whenever he was pissed).
Eventually they came out with VOIP for Counterstrike, which really changed the game... I also noticed some people would call me "Money", some people would call me "Bucko", some people would call "MoneyShot", etc., so I just shortened it to Bucko because the original VOIP wasn't as clear as games these days, and it made it easier for me to tell when someone was calling for help when there was a lot of gunfire and other noise in the background. So I guess the short version if you're still awake at this point is that Bucko just had a ring to it, so it stuck all these years.
In some games I find that "Bucko" is already taken when I register an account (don't be fooled by cheap imitations).... so in R6V2, I am Bucko22... in BF2 (which I haven't played in a long time) I go by WangBucko.. Most other games that let you use a different in-game name than your account, its just Bucko.
So there is the full etymology -- nothing too interesting, it's just one of those things that I've used for so long that I'd feel naked (or at least without pants) using another name.
Chester
05-10-2008, 01:34 AM
Mine is simple enough. Linkin Park is one of my favorite bands and Chester is the lead singer in that group. It is a very simple name to go by. It also looks good in games. Plus, everyone remembers Chester because it rhymes with Molestor. :D
Mine is a long story but I will try and make it as short as possible. A long time ago in a galaxy far far away....no actually about 10 years ago i was on vacation with my family and my older sister had a bear with large ears like a mouse. So my little sister and I decided to name it "Bouse" for bear/mouse combined. A couple years later my older sister got a new bear. While on vacation again my little sister and I decided that we would rename this bear also. It was then named "New and improved Bouse" hence shorted to "Naib" (pronounced Nabe with a long "A"). Shortly after returning home from vacation i started playing FFVII and used the name for the Character. I have now used it ever since for every game I have played.
Domino
06-21-2008, 08:09 PM
Hello everyone,
One of the new guys here updating my name info...
I played under the names Quasimojo a lot on tfc and hung out at the theville.org (which is still going) quite a while...Actually went to Las Vegas in 2002 with my nephew (Torak) who was into tfc big time and met some ville regulars...My nephew and I started FNF (Friday Night Fights) where we would do some Maps that were a little different (example: Murderball) on a passworded server to keep out wandering rejects...
Anyway the Quasimojo comes from the hunchback of Notre Dame (book, not the cartoon one)...When having problems getting a name that isn't taken I sometimes use Jisiumsquid...Never had a problem with that name being use already...
Now I am playing under the name Domino which I decided to use after watching a crappy movie called DOMINO with Keira Knightley...Sucko (bucko) says it is a X-Men character because I watched the X-Men movies but I am not familiar with that character...
Anyway that's the story behind the name...
I look forward to gaming with you guys...

sixshot
01-25-2009, 01:09 AM
*roar* Registration system has been fixed! And I am now on!
Sixshot is... erm... Sixshot! There are a few ways to explain it. So let's start with the direct approach.
The name Sixshot is a character from the old 1980s TV animation (or "cartoon" if that's what you want to call it) called Transformers. The series didn't last all that long compared to other long-standing shows like Simpsons or Family Guy. But while it was on the air, it featured many episodic stories as well as many recurring characters as well as some feature appearances or new appearances of others (ie. the Dinobots, Constructicons, etc.).
Sixshot is a Decepticon-aligned soldier who possess a unique ability not found amongst any Transformers species at that time: 6 different modes of transformation. His toy would be marketed as the "one-robot army." He appeared only once (seen here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KtLpwtwqaak) in the final 3 episodes of the entire American broadcast, of which it was dubbed as "season 4" when it was first released on DVD. In Japan, his appearances and personality would be completely different from what was known in America. The Japanese broadcast for Transformers would also span many more episodes than the mere 3 that we got. Sixshot would also go on in the Japanese airwaves as the one who killed Ultra Magnus (yeah, I know; major spoilage).
Since then, it would take Hasbro and (the now) Takara-Tomy years before they can find a use for the name again. However, by then the character and its abilities would not live up to the namesake that Sixshot originally stood for. Added to this was the change from the original Sixshot spelling to what Hasbro now has trademark protection for: Six Shot
I figure that other names from the Transformers franchise would most likely be taken early (and fast), even the names which the Japanese originally used. If that was the case, then I'll pick a character that has some coolness points as well as one that can be the most destructive. Given that the American impression of Sixshot is being the one-robot army, perhaps that is the name and character that would fit me best for many FPS games out there. :)
Though this is also far-fetched... you can also associate 'sixshot' to a six-shooter, a revolver, and other related firearms. :) But I think some of you already know by now that it often takes more bullets than necessary to knock me out. *zig-zag-runs*

This is pretty cool guys lol. I find it very funny as to how some of you got your name's ..So here is mine tall tale, for years as a kid my friends called me DoodyHead and here is why .Now to get this wonderful name I had to do some real stunt man stuff lol .I was in the 8th grade and was dared to toss an M80 into the toilet. Now let me tell you back in the day (mid 70's) a M80 was a M80, it was equal to 1/4 stick of dynamite back then.So what did I do I took the M80 challenge, lit the fuse and ran to the other side of the restroom like a dummy ..I should have ran to the next county if I only knew what was going to happen next ..You guessed it the toilet exploded and "CRAP" went everywhere, I mean everywhere (including my Hair) Now you get the picture lol. So I used that as my name when I first started playing online as a Rainbow 6 player. When I joined my 1st clan They asked me to shorten it so then came Doody. After a few years of that, me and a few friends started a new clan and one of the guys always called me Doodster when I would log into Teamspeak and now that is what I have been going by for the last few years.. Boy how time has passed

Been fun reading all your 'history".
My name also has a bit of history.
I ran a Clan {A&O} in Tribes as {A&O}Slickrock, but we suffered from participation. I met Sorrido from Hakkenden and we worked out a deal to merge our Clans, but Hak was definitely the dominant force. I wanted to save my name in case A&O came back. Right!
Slickrock, now called Salvaje was born (my high school Spanish name). Flare, Shakewell(Axle), Scuba Steve, Ramda, Zabbygipopel transferred to Hak.
We met many GREAT players and had LAN's where we met personally - regularly. As Tribes died, so did Hak. Ugghh.
Hak|SouDou found oWs as another great Clan to play with and many of us moved from Tribes to the BF series.
SouDou, Salvaje, Lith, Flare, Sixshot(Hak|Strider), Shakewell (Axle), Scuba Steve, Dino, Masamune, Raijin, Aiken, Zab moved into our new home - oWs. Very few of us A&O left. Some Hak. Why the Hak|Lith tag for example.
Jester
10-24-2010, 03:29 PM
Ok Ill necro-post...lol
My original name was Jester, and its honestly from my favorite movie, Top Gun. He was the grouchy old aggressor pilot, which most of you know the phrase "Woo! Jesters Dead!" and so it began that I became Jester back in the days of good ol' Jane's Apache Longbow 2 (multiplayer). Here recently due to the fact that the games i play you cant use a name someone else has, I have had to switch to TacNiNe,(tactical nine millimeter) This name stemmed from my real nickname when i was in the army, during a training exercise my M4 jammed (simrounds suck) and i had to use my 9mm and managed to do alot better with it than others with thier M-4's.
Well theres my name history,
Enjoy
Drudge

I originally took my handle from Matt Drudge of Libertarian news post fame. When I first moved to the east coast I had a job trying to sell air time for a libertarian radio network where I first heard of him. Now it seems that he pretty much drives the news cycle for washington affairs and now here I am trying to avoid talking politics all together, which oddly still seems appropriate after all this time.
